Donald Miller is a man who follows his faith into the market place with simplicity, yet depth of conviction. His passion for making the world a better place to live inspires many people, including me. We can learn much from reading, listening, and spending time reflecting on his message.

Such a valuable interview. Thank you Lewis Howes and Donald Miller for your transparency (stories of your fathers) and for making this content available. I am creating my website and course curriculum simultaneously. This interview has me rewriting and eliminating words - and the result is a clearer understanding of what I am offering! Thank you.

Wow! I'm a huge fan of your show and I've seen many interviews, but this one is my favorite so far! Even though I didn't know anything about Donald before watching this, I can see that he's such a genuine, passionate, loving, and caring human being. Amazing contribution to the world. Thank you for this!

Lewis, I'm at the 30-minute point... I think this might be the best fuckin' interview you've done. I don't know if it's his home environment that puts him at ease, or, if it's simply Donald Miller as the subject, himself, being a very interesting guest - which he is, but if I were you, I would make my next goal to do more of these interviews at their homes. You did some digging, and he was willing to peal away layers.

The "locust of control" idea is an idea a lot of psychologists and therapists share with their clients regularly. I remember going to a highly-regarded therapist coming out of high school, and he taught me this lesson. He said the sooner you figure out to to have an INTERNAL locust of control, the sooner you'll be confident and the sooner you'll reach your potential. And it couldn't be anymore true. The more you try to blame others, the more you set yourself up for failure and doubt.

Chris Plancarte I think you mean "locus". A locust is an insect that destroys crops among other things.

The preempt is great to hear because together conscience is your/our goal to reach. Every goal accomplished is important, big or little means the happy medium equates to the rope walk onward to success and balance. There is no cake walk except for, of course, none other than... The Tangerine Tornado!

I was so pumped when I saw you were interviewing Donald. So encouraged you are running with such solid quality people doing so many amazing things in the world. Donald's "Blue Like Jazz" had a profound impact on my faith. I loved your interview, it was great to get some more perspective on him and know specifically what he is up to now and in the future. While, I completely loved he said, I was little surprised to hear so little about God from him. He mentioned God only in a few references, and while I certainly agree he was living out and reflecting his faith without having to be in your face about it, it was surprising because he is certainly a well know Christian author and speaker illuminating Jesus in newer ways into a culture that has been worn out on religion. Curious if that was intentional given a wider audience you guys are reaching....?

So true about not wanting to change anything about your past. I mean, I'd like to kick that one guy's ass in high school and stick up for myself, but it'd change the trajectory of my life, and I wouldn't be where I am right now without all of it. P.S. Loving the dog in the shots. =)
