Yes, this indeed makes it even worse for Sterling. I mean how can he sit there and say he was baited when we all know that the man has been accused of being a racist before (referring to e.g. altercations with Baron Davis). He should've just admitted he is a racist and explain why that is. I mean I do get why many older people are racists: we imitate our surroundings and if our parents belong to a generation with more close-minded views that in today's world, it's tough not to make their beliefs our own. That's doesn't make it right but at least it can be understood. I also agree that that Stiviano girl is downright disgusting. The sad thing is that she is probably going to get her wish and get rich as this society would rather read about and watch a disgusting person in the public's eye than do the right thing and turn its back on her. Here's to hoping her money runs out quickly after her 15 minutes of fame and she is left with nothing but the contempt of society. I guess she could be a victim of her surroundings as well but in today's world we do get more opportunities to be a good person than in e.g. Sterling's youth.

That I know about him going to the locker room after the team lost and acting stupid. But he was easily set up. Because he's known for saying stuff like he did. He's only sorry for getting put out like this. But still there are other names that he has that's involved and hes not saying and no one is asking.

yes i heard about that as well. I also heard the reason why the girl did it. she si being sued by his wife for breaking up thier home. all the money and cars and the place she stays, he gave that to her and his wife is trying to get it back. and it sounds like she'll get it.what I'm saying is there is more to this than what is being told. He's not the only one who feels this way.

Now I believe he might of been baited BUT to the other racial events that was happening in the past this is what he deserves and he attempts to attack magic for not helping in the community come on now I was a kid of Los Angeles I met him and for a kid like me that had a big dream all I need was motivation from him to tell me and see that I had it in me and he also did events for the children like snow day where you go in the horse stadium and the place was filled with snow so the kids in l.a can know what it felt like to be in snow so don't criticize magic and of course he wants owners who majority of them are white and also part of the 1% billionaires he doesn't want players voting who are most affected by this they are the people playing for sterling they are the people playing for the NBA and if they did not listen they can control the NBA by not playing and 70% of players are black so they have no choice but go ahead and ban sterling and now he really fucked up by saying they are his players so your now emphasizing they are yours your not fooling people when you say that its kind of a metaphor saying that I'm not leaving I own them no you are an owner of the clippers stay in your lane sterling
@canibus1910 жыл бұрын
I feel Sterling should get his team back. Yes, the man is racist...we get that. The NBA knew he was a racist all along. However, I'm calling it like I see it. Sterling was set up by a gold digger. She sold him out for some cash after he was going to dump her to the curve. It wasn't like Sterling went out on public media and said this. This wasn't on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media. This was a private convo that was recorded, used as blackmail, and sold to TMZ to get a story. If the NBA want to truly punish Sterling, let the players decide his fate. If the players really want to make a stand and protest Sterling, let them opt out of their contracts and play for other teams (like the Lakers). I personally don't see how banning Sterling and forcing him to sell his team is justified. The NBA aren't heroes, they're just saving face. And lets not pretend Sterling feels any different than the vast majority of owners in the NBA and NFL. Sterling's comments is basically how the vast majority of White America feels about blacks. Only difference was that Sterling was caught on tape. Maybe this will wake up black athletes and let them know how the majority America view them (look no further than Fox News). Maybe this will teach them the power of ownership and maybe this will teach them be more financially literate and not blow their money on things that depreciate in value like cars and jewelry. I personally feel we need more Sterling incidents as a reminder of the true culture of America.
@punkrockrocks10 жыл бұрын
"The NBA aren't heroes, they're just saving face" - so you believe no one in the upper management of the NBA is NOT a racist, they enjoy working with a racist, and should just accept him now that it's out and let him keep his job? "Sterling's comments .. how the vast majority of white America feels about blacks" - Nice victim mentality. The vast majority? You really believe that? So I guess Obama got elected by just Mexicans and other blacks. Even though white people are the majority and he somehow got a ton of votes from them. Yeah right.. "I personally feel we need more Sterling incidents.." - What the hell? You want more of this shit to happen? You are seriously deluded. YES, racism exists and is rampant. It is dangerous and evil. NO, the "vast majority of white America" is not still racist. That's a ridiculous generalization and dead wrong.
@dmcclellan678710 жыл бұрын
The problem is that Sterlings racism has directly impacted others through his business transactions. He doesn't deserve to be in a position of power.
@sammiddlefinger864010 жыл бұрын
You can't say the majority of white America are racist that's just as dumb as saying every black guy is a thug. Yes there's alot of racist in America but I'm not going to judge the next white person I see and say he's a racist because I encounter a few. Also sterling is Jewish so him being a clan member out the question. I think he was jealous and the fact he's old
@canibus1910 жыл бұрын
s dub It's not about Victim mentality, it's about the way America is. America evolves around 3 things: 1) Money 2) Politics & 3) Race. All three are intertwined with one another--look at Fox News and CNN for further proof. The NBA knew this man was a racist from the start. He had a history of racial allegations, but they did nothing. The NBA is doing what it's doing because they'll lose a lot of revenue (1-Money) if they don't. NBA is banning Sterling for financial reasons, not because they love the skin color of Lebron James. If the NBA want to truly punish Sterling let his players be his deciding factor. If nobody will play for him he'll have no choice but to sell the team anyways. That's a far more powerful statement than the NBA (who knew he was a racist all along) forcing Sterling to sell his team because they (the NBA) don't want to look bad and cause Al Sharpton to get political, race bait, and ruin their image. As for Obama, people vote for whoever is in their political party. The gays aren't going to vote Republican because they want their rights. The feminist damn sure not going to vote Republican. And the Unions are not going to vote Republicans either. Doesn't mean they don't have negative opinions of blacks as a whole. And besides who do you think is pulling Obama's strings? As for Sterling...YES! More racist events like this need to occur. Black men need this type of reality check to show them how the vast majority of non-blacks in America view them. Maybe black America will get their shyt together and become self sufficient. Maybe black millionaires will come together and purchase something that appreciates (not depreciate) in value. Yes, I know Sterling is a Jew. Damon Dash once stated Jews see blacks as liquid money. It's not about having a "victim's mentality". It's just seeing people in America for who they are. That doesn't mean we can't function on a professional level and make money together. That just means we probably won't be having lunch together or socializing outside of business.
@joshgonzales245910 жыл бұрын
canibus19 True, the NBA did know about Sterling being a racist from the past. I also believe that the main reason for banning Sterling is because of the negative effect it will have on their business ($$) and has nothing to do with morals. But, the NBA is predominantly black. Their voices are being heard along with the fans. By banning him is already a statement in itself. It's saying that this old mans way of thinking belongs in the past, not in the present. To lots of people, it would appear this way and therefore achieve what you want, a reality check that these people do exist. So banning him still achieves what you want achieved, in my eyes. We may not see a strike or boycott but everyone already knows how the players, coaches, staff, etc... feel about this guy so there's really no point to further that point of view if we can all already see it. I disagree with the "we need more incidents like this". That's assuming that the majority of non-blacks are racists and therefore more incidents like this can happen. We don't know that. Remember, this dude is old. The chances for an older white male to feel this way is greater than a younger white male because of their generation. Even though, we still can't assume every old white male is a racist. The main reality check I take is this. This old dude is an idiot. Just by hearing him speak I feel like he's not all there. It baffles me how he's a billionaire, but if he is this successful in life, why can't any other minority out there do the same thing?

My whole thing tho is what do people expect Athletes and Celebrities like Magic Johnson to do ??? Donate their life’s earnings to the entire minority community just to prove that they’re NOT sell outs ??? When somebody works hard at their job and makes millions of dollars I don’t expect anything from them just because of their race. That’s his money and wealth to do with as he pleases. May not seem morally right but it is morally their right to do with as they please. Let’s start blaming the people who owe ALL the communities of the world endorsement and funding and support which is the GOVERNMENT. The elected officials who are elected in and serve their own interests and invest their hard work towards things that don’t uplift, endorse and help the minority communities. Take away the blame from the athletes who make it big and let’s channel our energy to the people who actually owe tax paying citizens something!!!

I hope he gets surrounded by people who really care about him. Because when you have money - everyone flocks to you, but no ONE is truly stands for you when you are going through trouble. What those last scriptures mean is that, yes God has the final say so, but while we're still humans on Earth, we still have a responsibility as Christians to take action. She is as racist as he is, they both just lied and lied to the media they weren't, and it's good that his assistant recorded the conversation.. He did nothing good to the Clippers, only two winning seasons before CP3 came in, relocated from San Diego to LA after he promised he wouldn't and would fight for the city of SD, didn't pay a dude 2k when he won a fan free throw challenge (it was for 1k but he tried to bait him to lose with double or nothing offer) and as told by Elgin Baylor, came to The Clippers locker room with women and said "look at those beautiful black bodies"... Plus he talked trash about Magic Johnson by saying he made love with evedy women in every town, even tho he also screwed many women EVEN THO HE IS MARRIED, tried to say Magic hasn't done anything to black community, even tho Magic has and he hasn't, etc... I hope they go to Hell after they die, and I'm sure they have had places in there for years now...

He has no reason to apologize, apoligize for what? Because he has an issue with a biracial whore being seen in public with Black people? If that is how he feels, that is how he feels. An apology is something we in society do when we feel we have hurt someone. This man is saying he didn't do anything wrong but "if" he did he is sorry. He is sorry that he aligned himself with a whore that set him up. He is sorry that hs words were taped and sold to the highest bidder. But he IS NOT sorry that he told her she should not be seen in public with Black people. That was and I would guess still is, his true opinion. Mr. Sterling, you have nothing to apologize for.

This is so wrong, I actually feel sorry for him. First of all, we all know the way we talk about other races/cultures when we are among our closest friends and families. I do believe everyone has a little bit of racism in them lol. I'm not saying hes right, but if our superiors/coworkers/colleagues heard some of the things we say when we are in the comfort of our homes, would we give up our job so easily?
