He told me to start with the gospel of John and then go to the first gospel account which is Matthew's account and from there read the rest of the N.T. I didn't get my own Bible until my mid twenties and it took time but I got saved because of reading the word of God. I know now that it was the Holy Spirit who had been revealing the scriptures to me and my God's goodness towards repentance. ❤ The Bible is living and the word will remain forever! When I read that, I look at where it says "if it were possible ". So I conclude that it will not be possible. But "if it were" then even the very elect will be deceived. It's using the elect as an example to stress how incredibly challenging things will be. But I don't believe that they will be deceived because of the discernment of the Holy Spirit and His guidance.
