i never thought i would make it past 40 years old.. i was in a really bad marriage and the abuse was so bad i knew he was going to kill me.. my parents cried and begged me to just leave but i couldn't.. the first five years i had hope he would change but the last eleven years was filled with terror.. he would threaten to kill my parents and kiddnap my kids and kill them if i ever left him.. i was so afraid for them that i stayed.. in my mind i would reather him hurt me and leave the ones that i love alone.. but one day just before my 40th birthday i heard a voice in my sleep scream wake up run now.. when i woke up i saw a knife coming down at my face.. i moved in just enough time to not be stabbed in the head.. i kept hearing this voice screaming at me girl fight now and run i have and will always be here to fight beside you.. i fought like hell and got away.. i ran out of the house with no clothes on with my car keys in my hand.. i got in my car and drove to my parents house.. on the way there a cop stopped me because i was speeding through town.. the cop was so nice to me and helped me get to my parents safe.. i thank God and Jesus everyday that my kids had stayed the night at my parents house the night before.. Jesus and God saved me.. i know that that voice was Jesus stepping in to save me a nobody.. i know this story has nothing to do with your comment but i just felt the need to tell it.. i'm 55 now and i now enjoy everyday that i'm alive.. life is hard but it can be such a beautiful thing also.. right now America is dealing with an abusive spouse and needs to go back home to the ones that love it God and Jesus.. i prayer everyday that Jesus and God saves us all
