Adrian, I’m sorry you haven’t had a very warm reception here, and you’ve been very gracious in your replies to commenters. Please don’t take it too personally…it’s nearly impossible to fill the shoes of one so loved (Matthew and of course, Griffin.) We’re all quite attached to them, and their sudden leaving without at least a goodbye, has people feeling upset and suspicious. Please convey to Matthew how much he & Griffin are missed, and how much we’d love for them to show up in a future video. Meanwhile, I know you’re doing your best, and it will come to be appreciated. Bless you.❤

I understand how deeply Matthew and Griffin have impacted this community. I'll certainly convey your sentiments to them. In the meantime, I'll continue to do my best to honor what he has built and bring meaningful content to the channel. Your encouragement is a great source of strength. God bless you, and thank you for being part of this journey with me!

This is a great story as usual. Young man..welcome. I want you to understand that Matthew Miller became like extended family. We all care about him. So having him just dissappear without a goodbye or explanation from him is quite sad and disturbing. Surely what Im typing here is reasonable. Could America Needs Fatima have Matthew at least come back on and give all of us a fond farewell. And yes, we want to know that he is alright. I do not want to speculate at all. And thank you. You read the story well.

Howdy Monica, what I can say is that Mr. Matthew has been a friend of mine long before I was working with ANF and he has not been fired nor did he quit. He is still around but on a different project at the moment. I don't know the details of that but I'm sure once it's going I'll hear about it. He is certainly alright, no sickness or anything like that. God love you Monica! May the perfect love of God reign in our hearts! -Adrian

I struggle with authority. Many adults in my life growing up utterly failed me. I relate quite a bit with that boy’s outburst at the start. Bosco’s letter to him is a difficult lesson for me. Shouting was the self-defence of choice for me.

I understand people are disappointed but I doubt Matthew would be happy to hear that his supporters are behaving unkindly towards Adrian. The focus of this channel was always St. John Bosco and I never got the impression that Matthew wanted to make it about himself. We can all stand to learn from these stories regardless of who is narrating them.

Adrian, God bless you and thank you for picking up where Mathew and Griffith left off. I really appreciate and thank God you are here and I am enjoying the stories and lessons about St John Bosco. He is such an amazing Saint and we need his examples of a life well lived for God and his intercession for our troubled times in both Church, state and culture. Interestingly, This lesson was about humility and acceptance and perhaps those who are still complaining about Mathew may need to hear the lesson again. I miss Mathew and Griffin, but God has His reasons for them moving on to something else in His plan. If we are meant to know in the future what he is doing, God will reveal that to us. Meanwhile, We need to give Adrian a chance ! Thank you again, Adrian. You are doing an excellent job. We are blessed by you and your efforts! Keep up the good work and fight.

Adrian, as a follower of the channel, I have become familiar with Matthew Miller, but not Griffin as I see others mention in the comments. I enjoyed this video today, and I tapped back a few times to listen to the message, which is ultimately what is important. A lot of people do not like change, and I admittedly am one of them. I do know, though, that eventually you will develop a style all your own that will make us fond of you the same way we became fond of Matthew. Don Bosco, please pray for our new host, Adrian, that he may do God's work in his own unique way, and may we as his listeners learn to find him endearing. 🙏

Thank you. But what that Rosary on your right hand means ? It's not an amulet, accessory, nor to be "seen" -"hey, I'm frequently pray the Rosary" .. We use it for praying. No offense.
@donboscostories
@donboscostories 17 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment and concern. I always wear a rosary on my right hand when I give presentations to remind me of Our Lady and to keep in mind that everything I do is for her, not for myself. While it is true that the rosary is not an amulet or a mere accessory, I believe it serves a greater purpose. In St. Louis De Montfort's "Secret of the Rosary," he praises the king who wore a rosary publicly because it encouraged others to pray. Many religious orders also wear large rosaries on their habits, not as accessories, but as a public witness to their devotion. Wearing a rosary is not only about using it for prayer; it's also an outward sign of consecration to Our Lady. This particular rosary was made for me by my mother, so I always keep it on my person as a personal and spiritual reminder. Thank you again for your concern. -Adrian

@@donboscostories The way you were speaking is like matter of fact, the mere recitation of a historical account. Speak with rises and lowering in your voice to emphasize points, or enhance the change of direction in the plot. Slow speech for the building of suspense, then increase the rate of speech when approaching the dramatic point. After a point is made, pauses can be used to great effect. Imagine the story that you are telling, but as if your audience could not see you while you were telling it. This way you have to communicate to their imaginations, and not their eyes. You have to speak to their hearts, not always just their ears. Really care and love the story you are telling, then your natural empathy will come across through the story you're telling and make it bloom before the audience. While on camera, though the audience can see the storyteller, he becomes invisible to them if he is telling the story well. The best piece of advice I think I can give, is to have true and regular devotion to St John Bosco. Then the passion will be there and will come across when recounting the events and stories of the Saint. Maybe you already have this devotion, If so, then tell the story like you are telling the audience about your own personal friend, instead of the retelling of historical facts.

@@donboscostories see michelleromani comment also. I think these critiques are accurate, straightforward, and clear, without attempting to sugarcoat it and without malice. There are a variety of styles and techniques to flow with. Your predecesor used a technique like one telling a story to children. I think that was the very key to grifgins successful engaging of his audience. Try practicing as if you were speakibg to the tiniest of children and go from there

And stop using the Rosary as a prop. You and your defenders use St. Louis De Montfort as the reason, but it’s not necessary. In fact, it’s off-putting. Not even Don Bosco did that nor does his own order. Prudence should be exercised.

It surprised me that people would complain so much about a singular person doing much for the oratory. Like, let little bro catch a break. His response didnt seem harsh to me, just airing out his mind . But St. John Bosco wants the best out of us at all times and can't let any slip-up go unreprimanded.

Absolutely, St. John Bosco's dedication to the oratory and his students was unwavering. He always aimed to guide them toward their best selves, even if it meant tough love at times. Thank you for your thoughtful comment and for appreciating the nuances in his approach. God bless!

When you take over somebody else’s channel, it’s never going to go well, but it doesn’t matter the whole point is doing what you’re supposed to do whether people enjoy it or not. Say, sir, always going to be happy whether the result is good or bad as long as they persevere and put your heart and soul into it. Why I’m not suggesting this, but it would be funny if you became a saint and Matthew was just a very interesting KZfaqr Continue on as all Catholics must do. Regardless of the odds, regardless of the opinions, regardless of the results. We can just persevere the results are gods problem.
