James, that was not rubbish! I found it really relaxing and loved the comedy interludes. Your videos are just as good whether you’re with Helen or not. You have a lovely way of making the viewer feel like they’re just out for a day with you , really personal and one on one. Keep doing you, don’t worry about the weather or the content, it always works…. That’s why your channel is growing so quickly.❤

Thanks James for the tour of Doncaster..I've never been there..I might never go there but at least I know what to expect..see you on next vlog..xx

We were there in early summer when all the costumes and dancers were parading and entertaining all the public. It was fabulous. James what are you trying to define? I think the UK is now in a total different reality as to what we are accustomed with. People have become insensitive, crass and fickle with any issue. Know this. Agenda 20-30 will effect everyone even those who consider themselves in "nice areas." I live in Teesside and the dereliction, decay, social decay seems universal. I know you want life to become bearable as it was 30 years ago but I think all of us are being coerced and forced into actualities and realities we inwardly hate. I was interested when you you mentioned the Chinese restaurant and having a great time yonks ago but that's it. Yonks ago. We all live in a very controlled realm where protocol and laws are steeped into every fabric of life on steroids. Around my way all you hear are emergency sirens and abject crime happening at any instance in time. But I think you crave freedom and wellbeing in this storm we are all in. God bless.

Recently another UK KZfaqr (who shall remain nameless here) showed us the delights of very upscale hotels in both Beverley Hills and Las Vegas, and another Mansfield based channel regulary flies to the States to show us around New York, New Orleans and other amazing cities.......Meanwhile.....James shows us the delights of a South Yorkshire city on a rainy midweek day including a quick tour of the ladies underware and haberdashery departments of Boyes department store, and as I'm sure most will agree, this is why we love this channel and we love James and Helen, because it's keeping it real. I've been to Vegas and New York and as great as they are they can't hold a candle to Donny in the rain!

Charlie Williams was from Donny. Most of it's a dump but the surrounding areas are nice like Bessacar, Wadworth, Tickhil,l where Clarkson was born. There are some great pubs and restaurants in the town centre, oops sorry, city centre. Very run down in places, but lots of big industry and opportunities if you can be bothered to drive to. I worked there for 18 months, commuting from Sheffield, proper Yorkshire lads and lasses. Great vid James, thanks.

Oof, fancy missing off Nigel Gresley Square, Cast, The Savoy and the spectacular new museum. Also the Pub next door to The Queens is the best pub in Doncaster The Masons! Town centre is a right dump these days though. It was sort of ace in the nineties and early 2000's but it's been a slow decline since. Unlike Barnsley which I visited a few weeks ago. Wow, talk about a renaissance! I ought to do a Vlog when I can be arsed.

Being a Doncasrian the two extremes of Doncaster are Hyde Park (used to live there as a kid) and Bawtry (money money). Doncaster itself is a dump now (wasn’t always that way). I’m surprised you didn’t get mugged walking about with that camera lol. People have been attacked for far less. You so much as make eye contact in the wrong pub and mayhem unfolds. I have paused video for this comment but I often pitch up in my peugot expert on the road next to Lakeside, nervous nights. Best place to stay is on Bawtry road behind what used to be Pa Punches Hotel (now Toby Carvery). It’s known to vanlifers and KZfaqrs. I stay there every other weekend with no problems ever as I visit family and do my part as carer for my mum (dementia). Growing up I’m Hyde park was not easy, had to learn to defend myself and became a third Dan in taekwondo (before it became a bit wussy). Reet I’ll play rest now…

@@bythecurb I’m in Filey, not far from your beloved Bridlington. Storm Barbet is really doing a number here. The waves are madness, the wind is downright dangerous. Some local roads flooded, tree down in Seamur (how on earth will I get to McDonald’s. Now?) Just the last few months seen an increase in off grid camping (vans, cars, tents), up at the country carpark in Filey (signs say no camping but they’re ignored). So if you find yourselves down our way it’s a good spot for you.

Well you went to Tickhill and Edlo and didn't drop into Maltby 😀 but having said that it's not Doni is it 😉 Nice to see some local places. I've not been into Doni town for years and it's changed so much from your video. That timber joint in Bawtry had been there for years n years, shame to see it go. I have heard the Misterton chippy is good as well so might be worth a trip out that way. Great video and that "our tune" made me think about when I worked in a factory 😂
