In his flashback he was established to be good at any sport he got into and because Reo is good at everything he can showcase and keep up with Nagi's talent, you can see his dribble, shot curve, pass, and vision being good in team V match, also he got 6 goals in first selection

6:55 you got it backwards Reo was always good at everything and he was carrying Nagi who couldn't do much without him. Just like Isagi was able to do what he did in previous game because of Bachira. Nagi awaken in the match against Isagi by starting to do things on his own and after leaving Reo and loosing Bachira he became better player by himself. Just like in this game Reo is the heart, Nagi misses in a lot of area a lack experience, Reo is complete everything else and allow Nagi to shine.

Reo was always good at everything, they haven't shown it yet. That's why in the Nagi movie that will be coming you will see how good Reo is.

Football is a physical sport. You can push around and grab. That wasn't a foul. No one had possession, so no one can technically be fouled if no one had posession and it was a free ball.

6:50 Reo’s whole shtick is that he’s a jack of all trades, even outside of football, in his flashback we can see he’s popular, he’s smart, he’s rich, he’s nice. While nagi represents people who are great at one thing but lack in all other aspects, Reo represents people who are good at everything and great at nothing.

I disagree with the Nagi thing. In his novels, he is quite good at sports in general as he was great when playing volleyball and even in studies he's practically a genius

Nagi represent talented in physical skill but lack in mental skill and Isagi represent talent in mental skill but lack in physical skill meanwhile Reo is in the middle, Nagi and Reo's relationship represent ambition and motivation because the thing that they both had in common before blue lock was boredom

I mean, those lines sound kinda cheesy in Japanese but not anywhere near enough as cringeworthy as they sound in English. Some things just don't translate well.

@@pedrostrauss4848 in the same context tho? what i took it means is like assimilating a style of play to use it for your own benefit, so I doubt it cuz that's an anime thing, in real life football players don't try doing that in a 11vs11. This only makes sense for drama purposes in this show.

I don't understand why you guys and so many reactors think that Reo was "carried by Nagi," he scored SIX goals in the first selection and passed through the first part of the 2nd selection pretty damn quickly. Why do people always ignore these facts? It's only cause Reo was never shown to score goals and he's more of the tactical/support type compared to Nagi who's flashy with his "trap" weapon, but anime watchers always severely underestimate Reo's capabilities and think he's mediocre overall when literally nothing points to that and it's so weird.

I don't know if it'sthe correct way to put it. I would think S is exceptionnal, A is great , B is good and C is Okay. Since he is A in everything he is indeed great at everything Just not the greatest.

6:48 😂😂 you know Carson doesn’t like the dude by the way he reacted to it. To answer your question, it's the first time they clearly say it. But his talent was mentioned for a while now. It was mentioned that he was good at any sport, that he started to play for only 6 months and he thought Nagi football. He also scored 6 goals in the first selection. Against team Z they made it clear that was the heart of team the guy to block and that Nagi couldn't do anything without Reo. Nagi changed during the match but since day one Reo was the reason Nagi Shine could.

Barou just says "hetakuso" which can be interpreted as "someone who sucks at something" so that translation can be Donkey, Retard, Weakling, bad player or many other things

I feel Barou wasn't like this at first since in the first or second episode we differently so him giving passes to his teammates But his team definitely didn't make it through the first selection which makes me think maybe that's what changed Barou He never really was around people who were better than him to pass

11:51 it's not that Reo f*cks up, it’s that Isagi play on the right strategy. Kunigami and Barou are the most dangerous players on this field because they are both long range shooter. If one of them has the ball and shoot from a distance they gonna score 100%. Barou is the only one who can mark Kunigami and it take two people to block Barou. IF he mark Isagi Barou will get pass Kunigami and will score, if blocked Barou then Isagi position himself to get the ball he will score. It’s the perfect strategy, Chigiri is the only who could have made the difference but Nagi is there.
