This is hands down my favorite restoration you've done. Those drums sound unbelievable. Where did the water sloshing sound come from exactly even on the snes it sounded real.

I think the drums need more bass or something. When I listen to the original, it sounds like the drums are the main part of the song, and I can feel the vibrations caused by the booming of the drums. In fact, even the water has the ability to create a very slight amount of vibrations in the original. The drums definitely had more boom and vibrations than even the bass instrument. In this restored version, however, the drums create almost no vibrations despite the bass instrument now creating far more than even the drums did in the original.

Ah, the final result is so beautiful, you can hear the tense of going through an abandoned ship filled with water and sea creatures. Hope to see someday steel drum rhumba getting the same love and care you give to all of your remasters~

I've been waiting for this moment for a long time! Sounds sooooo good! Even the splashes and bubbling sounds were covered. Amazing work! Another song I would love to hear restored is Credits Concerto from DKC1. That's my favorite credits theme from the SNES trilogy.

Listening to these instantly transports me to the mid to late 90's when I fell in love with this game. Favorite game of all time, underrated

Actualmente tengo 31 años, solia jugar DKC con mis hermanos cuando éramos niños, ahora que vuelvo a escuchar los OST me trae muchos recuerdos, tantos momentos que no volverán, me hace sentir bien y a la vez nostálgico.

I still think Stickerbrush Symphony is my favorite track overall from DKC2, but the improvement made to this track from original to this restored version is the best improvement and brings this to a very close second place for me. Thanks for your work on all of this, even if I am 2 years late.

My God....hearing this beautiful restoration takes me back to when I was 6 years old and terrified to tackle any levels of DKC2 with this soundtrack, more specifically Lava Lagoon! It all just felt sooooooo apocalyptic, LoL! Diddy and Dixie traversing against bodies of water engulfed in sweltering lethal temperatures with only Clapper's unique ability of cooling down the surrounding aqua to provide just enough time to swim across without perishing! .....and also, the damn pufferfish was the stuff of nightmares 😱 TY FOR TAKING ME BACK!!!! 😭🙏🏽

I love this song, very much, and I admire your work, I really do. Also, I know how hard this music is to be restored. There are too much details overlapping each other. Precisely because of it all, I think that yours is the best version I've heard so far, but it's still lacking a bit in comparison to the original. But, hey, don't get me wrong. I think even David himself wouldn't be able to be 100% faithful to this music (and I've heard his remixes from Tropical Freeze, and all). My point is you did a pretty amazing restoration here, and I hope you love doing it, because it's such a hard work to do.

I've been listening to a bunch of these as research because I'm trying to arrange a DKC Cover Medley that I want to make, and I can't thank you enough for especially this one. The game version just doesn't do this theme justice, and this version does a great job at separating the instrumentation so I can actually hear what's going on. It sounds more 3-dimensional, if that makes sense, compared to how compressed/flat the SNES version sounds.

Hey Sam, this is some great work! I'm actually quite particular about this song, with it being one of my favorites. I will try my best to give my feedback as concise as possible. I don't know the terminology as well as I wish. At the beginning, the sounds of water crashing needs to be more intense. In the original, the drums and the sounds of water almost meld together. Another thing too, is i feel like there might be too much reverb on certain instruments. Other than the "xylophone?" sound, the rest don't really have it. While we are on the xylophone, I think the notes need to have less sustain too. And on that topic, the thing that is feeling off the most is the the sustained notes when the strings play. In the original, I feel it sounds like they are cut off real quick before the next fast paced note is hit. In general the feel i get from this song can be best described as if the orchestra is being intensively rushed to play ithe notes only to be told to stop any sustain form their instruments. I hope my notes make some sense. Otherwise, is still a great take on the original! I'm just super picky about this one because I love it so much. If you like this constructive criticism, Id love to throw some ideas at a couple other DKC 2 songs. But honestly the majority of your rearranges are fucking spot on. keep up the good work. I can't wait to hear Mining Melancholy.

There is a slight misstep that you may have purposefully thrown in there but the harp that comes in at 0:10 of the tune plays the wrong sequence. You have it playing right at first but instead of repeating part A again like in the original piece you go to the B part that plays when that same riff comes back later. Only a minor nitpick but good work nonetheless.

For a while, my childhood was just Spongebob and DKC2. Lot of nautical stuff.
