Mind blowing from someone who doesn't follow DKC speedrunning. I remember doing that first wrong warp from world 1 to 3 as a kid and having absolutely no idea what I had done. Never understood until (partially) now.

I read about that warp online. I was always confused and wondered why it sent you to the middle of a level instead of the start Didn't realize until a speedrunner explained that it was unintentional.

When I was a kid I found a wrong warp randomly. I remember where it came out but not where it started. I have never seen anyone else do it. I stand corrected! Tonkotsu does it at 35:50!

DKC continues to be my favorite series to watch speedrun. But why is RBO 100% a category?!?! Do any other series have that lol? I wonder what the next DKC speedrun at GDQ will be

Ship doesn't spawn if the bosses aren't beat if I remember correctly

K Rool can only be fought after beating world 6, and also is the only way to trigger the end of the game, so we still fight him last. This is pretty normal for a lot of games' RBO categories

🫨🫨 The couch and crowd are back!!!!! So glad to see. Stopped watching GDQ when it became just streams with commentary. The couch and crowd are what makes GDQ unique compared to just watching a speedrunner stream.
