Despite being a challenging game, I've never seen the Game Over screen because the game just keeps throwing lives at you.

@@RollbackMedia and considering the sheer number of extra lives you'll get during the game you wont even know there is a game over tune. so if you hear it, its truly time to take a break

I appreciate that they give you move extra lives in this than they do in returns, because they barely do anything anyway. If you're playing hard mode, literally all it does is force you to sit through the loading screens again.

Imagine this: Your island has been hijacked by some bad guys and turned it into a barren wasteland, *plus* you've been kicked out. Now that you lost, perhaps the tone of the game over screen would be sad like the original 3 games. Perhaps the song would be sad and slow. BUT IT AIN'T! We get JAZZ as our game over theme. Sure, David Wise wanted to be different with the game over theme, but it doesn't fit where you died and would never find your way home. Oh well.

@@TJDW Back when I first started playing the game on my switch lite I would sometimes lose my lives intentionally and make it to where the penguins would cheer that I gave up.

My first game over was two days ago, facing off against Fugu the Frightening in Hard Mode. I beat the game fully once and it took me the fourth world on my second round with one HP without buying balloons to hear this. I love this game, but the amount of balloons it hands out is insane.

This is a hard game but I haven't seen a game over because the game makes it easy to get balloons. This is good because it's fun to continue rather than just restarting the whole level.

It's fitting that the Snowmads shown on the game over screen are Painguin Tucks. Those are my least favorite enemies in the whole game.

Much less of a failure track than DKCR's game over track. But still...the goddamn catchy-ness! All of these random tracks that play in these specific situations are actually really well done (or at least great for getting funky tonight for or getting smooth and jazzy for), like the stage clear, bonus clear, etc. Wise really thought about these despite them not being that important.
