A longplay of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for the Nintendo GameCube!
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is the first console Donkey Kong since the release of Donkey Kong Country to not be developed by Rare, since the company, which lost the rights to the Donkey Kong series due to the fact that it was trademarked by Nintendo, was bought out by Microsoft. Due to the change in developers, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat was very different than the Donkey Kong Country games in gameplay, characters, and, perhaps most notably, the personality of Donkey Kong, who is shown to be more aggressive than in past titles. This was also the first game to be given the "E10+" rating from the ESRB.
Also the reason my Bongo Cam stopped halfway through the video is because syncing the camera and gameplay is very hard and I got confused which camera footage belonged to which gameplay footage. Also, the video sometimes splits because my SD card is only 16 gigabytes so it can only record 52 minutes of 480p footage and the battery life is very short...

I remember me and my friends would all chill at my place and play this banger of a game. We would pass the drums around because each one of us had a skill and job to do. One would be for spamming the drums, one for bosses, and mine was to speed run the level. Truly a masterpiece of a game and controller.

Not really, they changed it from a platforming challenge into a shitty musical performance. It might be fun but it isnt dk. Donkey kong Country Returns shat on this. Going back to the roots of what is what meant to be. Not some rap based insult.

@@johnfrankster3244 Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and Country Returns were both made for kids. As somebody who when a young kid played both of these, Country Returns isn't nearly as fun as this beauty of a game. This game has no story or real point other than to have fun.

I have the weirdest memory of the bongos from this game having a very specific scent. Not sure why, but I very particularly remember the scent and the texture of the bongs. This is what keeps me awake at night.

It's funny because I have never played this game before. Despite having owned a gamecube-console for a little over 10 years. Believe it or not I've played Donkey Kong Country about once or twice or more and I've certainly played Donkey Kong 64 God knows how many countless-times.

This was one of the best gamecube games imo! I remember I've got this game together with the bongo's at the end of summer vacation around 2005-2006 from my grandmother when we returned from a local beach vacation. Good times when nintendo was so creative and funny/quirky in a very unique way. Sadly my grandmother who loved the music from many of my gamecube games died 7 years ago.. I'll never sell my gamecube, bongo's and games.. Proud to be a gamecube kid.. It's still my favourite console. The gamecube also has the games with the best music and gameplay imo!

This game's really inspired me to want to write a jungle safari rescue story with bosses like in this game. Also, when he fights those elephant robots with the pineapple bombs it just goes to show that Donkey Kong is smart enough to *not* let himself take the bomb going boom.

Phenomenal playthrough, though it would’ve been nice if you’d cut out everything that you found unsatisfactory and all the repeats and just showed us your best of each kingdom, it would’ve cut the time down drastically. Aside from that, i beat the game myself but hell, these moves and speed and accuracy are incredible! You have the game down to a science, A++!

This game was a huge part of my childhood fun but man it made my hands red from clapping and the controls could honestly have been implemented better 😅
