Ahhhh! Amazing 😁 I stayed with Bill and Donna 16 years ago when i visited Japan as a naive 17 year old, the son of an old uni friend! So much love for them both! Donna if you read this, I'd love to see you again! All my Japanese friends love seeing this video 😁
So the voice of the Shinkansen 🚅 is an Australian imitating a Canadian imitating a British person! Loved this video a big hug

How about a Jamaican woman imitating a New Zealander imitating an european imitating an australian imitating a canadian imitating a british person...
In the seventies brasilian airports employed a lady whose voice was so sensual that at a certain point audio casettes with her voice on them were sold. Imagine going to sleep with route information between Recife, Bahia and Brasilia.

I love that there's an Australian voice on the Shinkansen. I found it impossible to detect an accent of any English speaking country. It was a bit disconcerting!

I’m a classically trained soprano who happened to have worked in Shinkansen as an attendant (many years ago, haha!) It’s so pleasing to know how beautiful and charming lady you are, since I have always adored your announcements every time I was at work in Shinkansen from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka. I’ve always wondered who is this lady with a classy, graceful tone of voice that is so soothing. I haven’t been on Shinkansen for years now, but hearing your voice brings back memories. What a pleasant surprise. I personally would have loved if you had told us attendants that it was you!

Hello Sakura-san! Thanks so much for your lovely comment!
Thank you for nice announcement.

"I want to bring friendship to the world" -Donna Burke Honestly, this last one killed me. Having grown up with your voice and your songs, being (in a way) "a friend" with you brings me soooo much joy!! I've also always wanted to ask you how you coped with homesickness after leaving Perth in the mid 90s to go to a completely new country and live there? Much like your friend Ms Brew! P.S. Love your new "Encore" album Donna!!
I wasn't able to raise my questions when I first met you in person during an anime convention in Malaysia back in 2018!! Travelled on the Tokaido Shinkansen often, and I was so shock and exciting to hear your voice in Malaysia. Your voice always giving me goosebumps! ((I mean, wow this is so real

@@DonnaBurkeOfficial Your HP shows a PICT of you singing accompanied by an orchestra. Do you often give such performances? I am a great fun of classical music and curious....... I stand corrected, I found a KZfaq video featuring you singing, not quite the style I had in mind, nonetheless enjoyed it very much.

Hi! My husband is an English speaker and the most of conversation which is spoken fast in Japanese is over comprehension to him. So when we came back to Japan and travelled around the country, your announcement was so helpful for him and we both appreciate for that. As he loves Japan, your announcement became a part of his happiest time over there. Can’t wait to come back to Japan again to get on Shinkansen 🚅 with your help when this hard time is over 😊😊

I closed my eyes and just listened to your voice and oh my god it just brought back memories! I have been traveling to Japan at least twice a year for the past 10 years before the pandemic and I very much miss the Shinkansen! I used to live on these trains haha as I was exploring Japan and the voice is extremely familiar to me. It is a pleasure to know the person behind it. :)

Your English pronunciation is excellent and makes me feel relaxed. When I heard your voice in a Shinkansen train for the first time about 10 years ago, I thought you were in your 20s, because your voice was youthful and full of life. (It has never changed since then!) Due to the synergistic effect of your voice and Ms. Kyoko Wakisaka's, I feel that an exciting Shinkansen travel has just begun, just after a bullet train leaves a station and your announcement starts. Thank you for coming to Japan! XD
