Today our special guest is none other than Donnie Klang, who was introduced to many of us when he first appeared as a cast member in MTV's Making the Band 4. Donnie went on to become a finalist on the show, and was signed as a solo artist to Bad Boy Entertainment. We break down his experience through out this process, the slow down in his music career, and his journey into opening up an artist development studio. I wouldn’t have even recognized him. We are the same age and I watched the show. I never thought much of him at the time, but he is so fine now!

Been on a Making the Band binge, Donnie's and Seven's "Dr Love" was such a great song. Glad to see Donnie doing well and even more a great person, i always admired his maturity on the show.

bruh , literally for YEARS i was tryna remember his name cause of the song Pick it Up , and i could never find the song or who he was until TODAY . lol . that song Pick it up is a banger and i just listened to it like 9 times in a row

I'm glad he confirmed something I felt...which was "dude" falling out with the producer "Seven" the second I heard the version of "Dr. Love" because the version played on the MTB was a better version than the album ver

Diddy is a monster.. he didn’t let Donnie out his contract, wow.. he said the same to Danity Kane. He was like” There will be a Danity Kane though “ .. so he took dawn bc he knew the girls would try to Reunite after the show ended.. then they have their own issues and once they got back together the momentum had died. I do believe if Aundrea didn’t quit, and dawn didn’t punched Aubrey other labels would’ve picked up Danity Kane.

I'm glad he's well off right now. I thought it was messed up how him and Day 26 were handled. He thought he was going to be living his dreams, and it didn't work out that way.

He could’ve been as big as Day26 and Danity Kane, feel like Diddy did him dirty and used him for ratings. But he definitely could’ve been a big star, he wasn’t marketed right at all

So true. Like the episode where Diddy told Donnie all of the hustling that he needed to do. I remember thinking, isn't that your job as his record company? You're Diddy; all you have to do is make a phone call and have Donnie open for you or one of your other artists. And then for Bad Boy to tell Donnie that they had no intentions of putting out a second album for him but refused to let him out of his contract so that he could be picked up by another label. What an ass.

Day 26 was the biggest! I can't see Donnie being bigger than them, even individually. Day 26 are incredible at hustling their gift. Donnie is good to tho.

his vocals were not on the level of the dudes from Day 26, but they were good enough to work with and i think along with his looks, he’s just very charming and likeable, so that made him a good artist too.

@@NatRants Yeah I agree with you somewhat. But I also think it was a fad. Puffy loves to do what's In. He's a culture vulture lol that's the case of Donnie and it wasn't hitting cause the music was not soulful lol smh I believe.
