The interview with Kyle was absolutely heartbreaking. How he blames himself for the 16 year old kid in Michigan absolutely kills you. You want to give the guy a hug and find the world's best counsellor for him.

I cried when I saw the Kyle Beach interview on TSN. He was 20 when this happened. I was 5. I am not a sports player. I am a nobody. I went to alcohol and drugs like him and also suicide attempts. The crime makes you look at life differently. I don't trust people. I would rather stay home by myself than go out and meet people.

Aldrich wouldn't show up on a criminal search after leaving the Hawks as no charges were pressed. That's what makes it worse. That he was allowed to resign and then attack others.

When I watched the interview it felt like a gut punch and I had a big lump in my throat, shame on the Blackhawks, especially that they didnt do the right thing once the playoffs were finished, that is the one thing I dont understand. If not before, the day after they won they should have turned this over to the Police

You have to wonder if there were other players who went through what Kyle Beach went through in the Blackhawks organization but didn't have the courage to speak out like Beach did?

I think so as well. Before Beach was called up to be a Black Ace, a predator like Aldrich probably had another target (s). Even after he left the Blackhawks, he was charged with sexually assaulting 5 people (3 men and 2 teenagers aged 16 and 14).

Quenneville taking the day off would have been a prudent move but far be it for Quenneville to risk disrupting Florida's 6-0 record by doing the right thing. Seems to be a recurring pattern for him.

He chose the team and winning over Kyle Beach for a second time, he still hasn`t learned anything about putting people first over a game and probably never will, his day is coming and I really hope I never see him in the game of Hockey ever again very very soon ban him for life

@@lawrencefrazier2044 Agree. Not sure how any player could ever trust him to have their backs if things go south? Quenneville doesn't have the moral compass to lead and to do what's right when the chips are down. Glad he "resigned" today.

Take away the 1st 2nd and 3rd round picks for the next 5 years from the Blackhawks. Disgraceful organization and they should feel ashamed for all of this.

I've said repeatedly. It's always easy to say and do the right things when it's easy, popular and convenient. It's when it's in the moment and it's not popular and you stand something to lose. That's when choices have true meaning Not to be a Debbie Downer here but amidst all the Beach stuff, truth and reconciliation etc we're all just as guilty as we prepare to engage with Olympics in China while a million + people are in concentration camps being forcibly sterilized, raped, tortured and killed. Players, media, teams and league not saying one word about it , caring only for trophies and market expansion. We're 100% no better. Tell me I'm wrong.

I really hope Kyle Beach tells us all very soon what players said what and I bet there will be some very big names that said slurs wait and see Toews and Kane looked scared and if they did not say something were they right there when something was said and laughed at it both are lying there asses off when they say they did not know 2 of there teammates Brent Sopel and Nick Boynton said everybody knew everybody, Chicago Blackhawks slogan then and now should be Cheat, Lie, and Cover up all that is wrong and bad, but win at all costs and forget about it, classless organization wish they had lost all 3 Stanley Cups or better yet never made it to one of them at all they did not deserve to win nothing

Ya all likely true . But the victims knew as well . The first line of defense for you as an individual is you . So make it clear , F-U . The guy was a freken video coach nothing more . Come on Canadians stand up and give some kids in the future to stand up for themselves and not walk around as victims. FVI , Trudeau does no give a rip . That kind of means your government.

Where is the player agent in all this? You'd assume that the player agent has been watching over the player/prospect for years... they would be very invested personally, emotionally and also financially.

Even before Graham James there were criminal checks in minor hockey, to the best of my knowledge. However, I played for coaches that really made me scratch my head whether the association did a record check. One guy who was known in the community for supplying alcohal to minors, amongst other shady guys involved in drug trafficking.

For God's sake these guys are all hockey players , why didn't one of the hockey players take to the guy to the wood shed and take care of this? Grown men should at least defend themselves, and these are all grown men. Blaming the Hawks makes for a great story and I am not saying the story should not happen. Hockey players are the toughest guys , they could have handled this and even without violence . The guy just needed to understand this would not be allowed. Its on the players first.

Being a hockey player doesn't make you "superman". This is a human issue. There needs to be zero tolerance of such abusive behaviour in business, sports, life, etc. Sadly the trend for these predators is they know they can take advantage of their victim. Sickening. Blackhawks organization should burn down over this. Bad culture and values compass. It's take courage to bring this up, kudos to Kyle Beach!

@@elvisguitar5394 Sorry I meant your original comment was a big YIKES, it was an awful take by you and a severe lack of empathy. Casually saying its not the teams fault and the BIG HOCKEY PLAYER should've just smashed the guy is the goofiest take I've ever heard about abuse. There are plenty of strong men and women who are taken advantage of and abused and to simply go "oh they should've beat that person up" just shows your lack of knowledge and care in general. I'm sure its just bait though right I hope it never happens to you :)

@@Foehammer006 Well look at it this way , if your kid is getting abused , empathy towards the assailant gets you nowhere . And blaming the school your kid is in is like blaming the Hawks , The Hawks are adult men , your kids are kids if you don’t see the difference, it’s too bad . We just look at stuff different
