yeah man! they played at the fox jazz fest in Wisconsin a couple days before that too. Unbelievable music! The new CD with quartet, Casting For Gravity, drops on October 2nd.

I really like the diversity of this song; I like how many flavors it has to offer. It had the rock flavor and quite a bit of avant garde jazz stylings to it with the the screaming altissimo and multiphonics from Donny. Great song!

As long as I've been playing music, I still don't quite get jazz, but I can see that this is a very skilled drummer and I enjoy watching and listening to him.

There's nothing to get. Do you like the music or do you only see it as an educational tool. Personally I don't think that it's helpful to put any label on music or to divide it into genres. You simply have good music and bad music and this is differently for everyone.
