So true - my cousins were Cassidy fans and we always had the who's best argument when we met. David Cassidy was a bit more edgy - his stuff was good too but i was a massive fan of Donny; I was in their fan club, had fan club writing paper, had all his records and he was all over my wall. The fact that he married, stayed married and certainly comes across as a gorgeous human being - has meant that he has never let down the pre-teen in me, where so many did. That may sound soppy and silly, but it's about values and instinct and being drawn to someone with good values, even without meeting them, somehow feels good as a solid reflection back.

Girl me too! My Mom use to tease me about him being my crush😂Oh that Osmond boy is on Tammy 😂I would rush to the Tv!! ❤His son as soon as he walked out on the Tv show, I said that’s Donny’s son, my friend says I don’t think so, I said I know so! You don’t have a crush like I did and not know, It’s not over but I guarantee Chris is his son, somebody said Elvis, my friend says yeah that’s right, I said no, If he’s not son then he’s his nephew, can’t wait to prove to my friend I’m right! Still love that Osmond! ❤😂

@@tammyderson6547 You talking about Claim to Fame? My daughter -in -law and I have been watching it, and from day one I KNEW Chris was Donny's son! How can a person not see that? 😄 All I can figure is the fellow contestants have no idea about Donny Osmond! How can that be? 😄😄 They are basically too young??? Donny was before their time? It is hilarious imo that they thought he was related to Elton John! 😄 Perhaps Chris, still being there, will end up the winner lol. As far as being a fan, I did follow their music back then in the 70's, and did watch the Donny and Marie show. 🙂

As a 65 year old fan of Donnie. I remember being I Sacramento CA. And watching him during his decade of dissapointment. The crowd was tiny and I stood watching and crying like a star struck 13 yr old girl. But I was a grown rockstar myself who had met and played with all the greats. BUT ONLY DONNIE AND THE LATE DAVID CASSIDY AFFECTED ME IN THAT WAY....TRUE STORY....

Back in the day my mother worked for LiveEnt in Toronto when they produced Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (starring Donny). In the office her desk was directly opposite a desk designated for Donny. She was a big fan of his and would often regale us with stories from work. One night she stayed late to make sure a last-minute revision to a script was sent to Donny and he graciously thanked her by sending a bouquet of flowers. She still talks about that fondly these days and what a great, down-to-earth and personable guy he was.

I had always wanted to see Donny in concert. I got my chance when he and Marie came to Albuquerque in 2016. I bought the tickets knowing I had stage 3 cancer. I wasn't able to attend because I was going through chemo and got septic. I was in the ER that weekend. I missed my chance to see Donny and that still bothers me to this day. I have always been a huge fan.

I could see how very sad he was when he said he never went to school. That makes me sad. Too bad he couldn't have went for a few years. I think that is wrong. Hopefully he could kind of live vicariously through his children as I'm sure they were in school. God Bless Donny and his brothers and sister. I feel like they are friends I've never met, though I was at their concert in Detroit in 1975. Thrilling for a 12 year old love struck girl! Their music soothes me when I am stressed or not feeling well. Thanks for sharing this with us, Dave.

The Osmond’s are the only concert I’ve ever been to in my life and I love them as much now as I did then! We didn’t even sit in our seats, we stayed at the stage taking pictures! Luckily Marie was with them and we left the concert before it was over and went outside hoping to see them up close and low and behold Marie’s limousine pulled out right beside us. She waved at us and we were so excited! They are the greatest! ❤️🥰❤️

Donny was my teenage crush and I will always have those wonderful memories. I still enjoy his music and loved seeing his shows. I would really love to see more about his family life. I am more interested in his children and grandchildren and I am a big fan of Debbie. She must have the patience of Job to be in the background and supporting him for so long. I am so happy that I had a husband that came home every night and spent every weekend with me sharing the responsibilities.

I was drafted into the Army in Fall of 1967. The night before I left for Basic Training, my Mom and I went to an OsBro show in a tent - theater in the round near Cleveland. The show was great, but afterward we had a chance to talk to Mrs. Osmond and she was very kind and wished me a safe trip. I’ve seen their shows several times since then and have always been a fan. I had no idea what Donny and his brothers went through. Thanks for these videos, Dave.

Thank you so much David for sharing these videos with us . I really enjoy them. It really was such a magical time all of our innocent and dreaming emotions were really on a high. And I was so lucky to meet Donny but I just lost my voice and didn’t know what to say lol and I was 55 at the time. My family and I would sit and watch the Andy Williams show every week here in Ireland . I was only 12 when Donny released Puppy Love, my mother bought it for me as a birthday gift. I also never missed The Donny and Marie show. And now when I watch these videos and hear all of The Osmond songs it take me back to that innocent time. And all of the dreams I had for meeting Donny so dreams do come true you just have to be patient. I wish Donny and his beautiful wife Debbie everything they could wish for, and all of the Osmond’s family the very best of love 💗 I am so lucky to have been here on this earth the same time as you .

Fond memories but thought by the time I was in my late 50s, I wouldn't know him anymore. Little show called masked singer. First song, first verse, I screamed THATS DONNY OSMOND! ya never forget the voice of your first crush. Other than elvis (sorry donny). 😁🤗💋

I loved the Osmonds so much. I'm probably around Donnie's age and have memories of parties and dancing to One Bad Apple, etc. When my son graduated from high school we took a vacation and stayed 2 days in San Antonio. I was eager for him to see something at the Majestic because I love that theatre so much. The show that weekend happened to be Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat! We sat close to the front and Donnie was exactly the same as 25 years before and I enjoyed telling my kids about the Osmonds and the first impact they had on show business and teenage girls! ❤

@Livinglife595, I am so very glad that you found the Church. I am sure that the Osmonds were instrumental in bringing many, many people into the Church. I've been a member my entire life, but oddly, I didn't care for their music when I was a teenager, and I don't remember their music ever being played at Church dances! I didn't even have a crush on any of them. I just turned 65, so I was the right age, but always like older men, as did my sister. My husband is 10 years older than I am, and my sister's husband is 21 years older than she is. Go figure. But, now, I do listen to their music and really do enjoy it.

Hi Donny, happened to catch your biography on UT, and it took me back to my teens in the early seventies. I have to admit that all the guys wouldn't admit it, that after the Muscle Shoals experience you you were the heart throb of all our teenage girls here, and over the world for that matter. We new it; but still we're somewhat envious of you. But you were their dream, and in our eyes we new that after your song they heard, and or a performance, that they were here for us to persuade them in person for a bit of time with them. They almost all had a poster of Donny on the inside of their bedroom doors, not that I saw personally, but u get my drift. lol Anyway, those were happy, fun memories when we acually were free, happy, and really liked what we called then Bubblegum music. I loved Go Away Little Girl, and didn't, still don't care who knows it. For that errow it was a damn cool, catchy toon that you couldn't help but sing along when it came on our AM Radio, and was really good. So you took a short lived victory; do realize what we would have given to be Donny Osmond for that error of history. What great memories. Also you kept your life as clean possible up to this day because of your faith. That is commendable! Thanks for your talent, and the memories. Phil ps, please just send a thumbs up up if you read. Thx

My mom heard that song on the radio and she told me, to put the volume up. Even though she didn't know English she liked it. So since then that's thee song that in my heart brings memories of her. I've been watching videos of Donny this morning since 4:00am. And to hear that song, Gives me joy that her spirit is by me. And she's my guardian Angel. I love music a lot. Music is therapy to me.. And thank God for it. 3/19/23. 5:18 am.

Donny Osmond sings "W" perfectly both on stage in musical theatre and recording studios. His diphthongs are vocal gems. May generations learn to produce these from his model. Peace be with you...Lukerdog

I first saw the Osmonds at the Ohio State Fair in the 70s! I loved him and his family after seeing them in Tiger Beat and of course on TV appearances. Also went to concerts in Cleveland, Ohio which was like a dream and I will never forget.

The Osmonds were and still are the most talented Family! The all play at least one or more instruments too. Donny the youngest at the time, is my all time favorite! In 2023, he will be 66 years young and he is still performing in his award winning show in Vegas. He was the peacock on the first session of, THe MADKED SINGER, and came in 2nd. He won on DANCING WITH THE STARS, and was the oldest winner ever! He has recorded over 65 albums.

We always loved him and his family. My sister that was crippled loved them all her life. She wrote many fan letters. They had a large family like ours and I wish she could have met Donny before she died. She loved Merrill too.

the first time I heard Soldier of Love - I knew -I looked at my daughter- and said " that`s Donny" sad part was I was listening to a classic rock station- she was born in 1990 - she`s also knew who the peacock was on the first show- cause she came to my room to tell me to come hear - finally after 50 yrs my sister treated me to a trip to Vegas to see Donny-it was worth the wait

Donny was an amazing technician! He made his own guitar peddles and boxes for live instruments, n sold them! My friends were ''proggers'' playing Yes, Genesis, ELP, and Crimson, n Wakeman .....They all knew Donny made stuff for musicians!

My sister had his posters all over her walls.. Every guy my age wished they could've been him but they'd never admit it.. But through all of it, the success did not destroy him or turn him or his family into pompus jerks.. He grew into a very nice person, father and husband.
