9 жыл бұрынIn the year 2000, Donovan traveled around the country and saw Tina Turner on her 24/7 tour 21 times.
After Tina seeing him in the audience doing all the steps, singing all the words to every song, she one day surprised everyone and invited him to perform Proud Mary with her in front of a sold out crowd in Dallas, TX at the Reunion Arena on October 28, 2000. To this very day, it is the best day of Donovan's life! Donovan is the only fan that she has invited on stage with her to perform!

Today, The Queen passed onto Heaven. I came here to see her Amazing performance and the happiness she gave everyone. This was a true Blessing. Keep on singing in the choir of Heaven and throw in your Rock and Roll in the choir. Thank You Queen Tina 💜.

I saw this about a month before Ms Turner passed and the joy it brought to me was incredible. Good job, Donovan. You made us all proud. Thank you for the share sir! I thank Tina for everything she was and did for us. May she rest in peace.

No Joke! She was 60 yrs old at the time of this concert. And she was still rocking heels on her 76th birthday performance. I laugh, because I couldn't wear my heels anymore by the time I hit 30, so forget about my even being able to move across the stage the way Tina did at 60, holy cow. Like she said, "What set me apart from other girl singers is that I can DANCE", & dance she did. What a Power House. Miss Tina, wherever you are right now, I hope you are dancing & singing with glee. I love you & will miss you. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic! Tina kept a tight eye on Donovon at the beginning. She looked a little tense a few bars into Proud Mary, as if she was thinking, 'What have I done?' Then she saw him fall right in, hit every move perfectly, and relaxed to concentrate on the song--and having a little dance fun with Donovon! Love it. Be Blessed, Tina. Hoping where you are now, is all Perfection & Light, dancing & singing among the Moon & Stars!

Extraordinary performance by both Tina Turner & Donovan! He had every single one of her moves & her backup singers down perfectly. Tina was so wonderful to allow him to come up on the stage with her. He not only made his day but all of us fans enjoyed so much watching his “moment in the sun!” Tina is so extraordinary to allow him to come up on her stage. He is so gosh darn good too( best part!)! I was so fortunate to catch Tina Turner in LA in the 70s when her hubs was playing. It is amazing to see that she never lost that song, it just gets better and better, and Donovan was indeed, killing it and looking so fine.

So much fun to watch one of the worlds greatest performers do something purely for the of someone else. Her dancers were so glad she did that. One of the nicest, most generous moments I have ever witnessed. I though the chemistry of the dancers and Donovan was so fun.

It's May 25, 2023 and the terribly sad news of Tina Turner's passing is being felt around the entire planet. I've watched this video more than 5 times and enjoyed it each and every time. I thought about Donovan Marcelle upon hearing the news of Tina's death. No I don't know him, but watching this fantastic video of him being invited up to the stage from his idol had to be the top of the toppest for him. I am sending him my deepest sympathy. You were right there Donovan and we all enjoyed seeing you enjoying it.

This truly brightened my day. I had tears afterwards, knowing this man experienced a dream of his. 17 shows, wow that's commitment and love! Donovan didn't miss a step! Had me cracking up at his obvious joy in dancing with that huge smile on his face the entire time. Even the dancers gave him some respect n love. Thanks for sharing!👊🏿💯💚

Ms. Turner was such an amazing talent. I say talent because she was more than a singer, actress, producer. This video shows without a question that this woman had heart. She had attained the highest of high stardom and yet she gratefully recognized a superfan. There will never be another performer like Ms. Turner. As for Donovan, dude, you are phenomenal!! I sincerely hope whatever performance goals you have in your life have materialized! You deserve it!!

Janice leatham- you're absolutely right. I'm so glad Tina was able to get away from her abuser and rised where she belong the top, without ike. She's an inspiration to all those poor women who're trapped in abusive relationships. God bless.

OMG!!!!!! Donovan you were so GOOD!!!!! I don't think I could have did that, BUT YOU....ROCKED IT!!!!!!! I was also in a very abusive marriage, and when I saw Ms Tina's movie, I felt like I wasn't alone in what happened to me. I so admire her for her courage and strengh to get out of that situration and made a BETTER life for herself. Thank You Ms. Tina Turner, for showing women like myself that we don't have to take that kind of abuse just to have a man in our lives!!!

Wow! Obviously a dream came true for you, Donovan. I have adored Tina for decades and at 73, I still do. While residing in California I saw 3 concerts, each one flawlessly performed and each as equally thrilling! How you were able to keep on going is a mind blower! Well done, Donovan... This was awesome and so beautiful that Miss Tina allowed Donovan to dance with her. He really got down and this showed me what a beautiful person she is both inside and out. What a lot of energy from all the performers.

I was there that evening and i have to say the audience went NUTS when he got up there and was so good. I was about 20th row back on the floor and the energy in the place was though the roof. Still one of the best concerts i've ever seen.

Paul Tahilanu based off what she had on from that tour it had to be 2000. She said the tour was coming to an end and it ended in 2000

This never gets old!!!! I love this concert so much, but Donovan was Fantastic and flawless. He was also the icing on the cake for me. A huge joy to watch. I had the privilege of seeing the Ike and Tina Turner Revue at Ravinia in Highland Park, Illinois.
