I remember seeing this the night it aired way back then. Her Mick impersonation is as spot on hilarious now as it was then. Tina was among the best singers fronting a soul, R&B, or Rock & Roll band. She was as good as any of them. Theres a reason she was known as The Queen or Rock & Roll. As a testament to her greatness, her big comeback with Private Dancer came when she was 45 years old. A "comeback" that successful for an artist at that age had never really been accomplished before in Rock & Roll. By anyone, man or woman. Certainly not to that level

this is a live performance, Tina (and her band) is so professional and you can tell because the delivery and instrumentation sound so much like what the recorded album does....... I mean in a recording studio you have all the tech and help to create a sound, but they can do it live just as good, and sometimes even better in one take. If you watch Tina's 80's work you see the highest quality live stuff one can find in the business and not only that, it is delivered with heart and love.

I too used to think Tina would live forever but unfortunately her health started failing her in recent years even after the kidney transplant from her husband she stayed around a good while. She has finished her course here on earth, may flights of angels carry Tina to her resting place.

I used to work the midnight shift and would record Letterman while I was at work in my VCR. I would occasionally transfer the musical guest to tape cassette. These tapes I took to work years later and I would play them on the PA system after the basketball games. When Tina came on, the people would stop talking and look up and listen to her sing. Even had one couple start dancing. RIP Tina. 🙏

Only huge problem is the best is natural and simple. Celebrity is the antithesis of our true nature in healthy connection with nature... Celebrity 'lifestyle' like anything atop and heirachical does not sustainable in balance with nature planet make. It's confusion and division between acting/theatre and nature reality.
