@JK-kj1tc It doesn't matter. It's still valuable experience for the club and players. What do you expect is gonna happen if they have a better squad and qualify? Win the tournament? That doesn't happen. It takes years of experience and playing against the very best in Europe that makes you competitive and have a chance. Just look at City. It took Pep 7 years in City to win it. It's the hardest tournament to win in the entire world. Clubs like Madrid and Bayern have pedigree because they play in it every year for many many decades. It's their legacy, it's their culture. Even if they don't have the strongest squad or having a bad season, they still find a way. Does Madrid and Bayern have a better squad, players than City or Arsenal? No. Bayern were having a terrible season domestically and they almost and probably should have reached the final if not for Real who is another example of a club having the aura of being the main characters in the champions league. That aura is what beat City and Arsenal. Those 2 clubs play in the tournament every year throughout their history. That's their culture. Even if you don't compete, you need the experience to be playing in it every year. When it comes to close ties, that is what can tip the scales. Spurs just have any aura about them. The world laughs at Spurs and to a degree it is the same with Arsenal which hurts to say as an Arsenal fan due to the last decade we have had. The aura of respect and fear is built by competing against the best every year and having the history and culture. Doesn't matter if you have a good team or not. Big clubs find a way. Like Arsenal and Man Utd in the FA Cup. Because these two clubs have won the most FA Cups in history. It's their history. Arsenal with their worst squad in 30 years in 2020 beat Pep's City and a hungry Chelsea back to back to win the FA Cup. Arsenal finished 8th that year. It's the same thing with United. It's part of the aura both clubs have in the competition. Spurs will never have that aura if they constantly think about Arsenal instead of their own successes and progress. If Spurs are to reach the level, they need get rid of this small time mentality.

Agree - Ange was/is right about the whole club, but fans were put in a weird position. He’s got a right to come at the club (including the fans), because he’s doing it from a place of wanting to see things improve. Have no issue, and some Spurs fans are dumb to call him out.
