Gawd, no kidding. I vote especially for eastern promises. He’s so freaking versatile! And to think that if he hadn’t done, lord of the rings, he might not have gotten near the opportunities he has. they’re probably a lot of people out there who could do a lot, but they just don’t have the brakes and will never see them.

Actually, he got his start way before LOTR. He was in Witness with Harrison Ford, The Indian Runner (which was Sean Penn"s directorial debut) Boiling Point with Dennis Hopper,Carlito"sWay with Pacino and Crimson Tide with Denzel and Gene Hackman. @@J_C_CHLook up sound foliage in film. They don't use the audio from the set, they use audio specially recorded and add it into the film. They also use blank bullets (just gunpowder no projectile) and often weld the barrel closed to avoid the blanks from becoming a projectile. This makes the sound completely different than one with a real projectile. They also wouldn't just blindly shoot into the air, that is extremely dangerous. That's some 3rd world behavior.

@@J_C_CHAlmost nothing you hear in a film is the audio from the day of filming. From the sound of an air conditioner blowing in the background to footsteps to the hum of florescent lighting. 1. Cash usage has gone down. 2. Muggings have gone down 3. Scams and online fraud are bigger issues. I know that today is often portraied as bad, but the truth is, crime stats in the US are low compared to the last decades. Burglary in particular is far lower than in this time setting. I remember just counting the money I had in my wallet back in PR. A junkie assaulted me in a public transportation van, and I distinctly recall an old woman complaining, "Hey, take that outside!" while I was fighting for my life.

This gag is much better in the actual film, where there's more context and enough time between the cash being flashed and them leaving the bar that you forget about the cash
