Hey guys!! Happy new year. Sorry for the break. Time to get back into the video posting swing. this is the full how to install xcloud including the error message that you can get with the copied/pasted "launcher" info from microsoft being messed up. As always I will see you in the comments!!

Okay so in the video i mention that if somehow there ends up being a space somewhere (copy/past can do this on accident) you need to go through and make sure its been pasted correctly. try pasted this in right after the "@@" --window-size=1024,640 --force-device-scale-factor=1.25 --device-scale-factor=1.25 --kiosk "www.xbox.com/play"

I just realized this is missing from the video. I'm so sorry. do this. its the final step. Back on the Desktop, select Application Launcher > System > Konsole (terminal window). Edge will need to be able to access your Steam Deck controls with udev, so we need to give it override access. Set it by entering this command and pressing Enter: flatpak --user override --filesystem=/run/udev:ro com.microsoft.Edge Then enter exit and press Enter to close Konsole.

When he says make sure there is no spaces.. you need a space after @@

Everyone who keeps getting the error code. When you paste the launch option, you do indeed need a space after @@

Yes no extra spaces. If the text is copied correctly it will have the one space.

If it’s not copied correctly it won’t work. There is 1 space after the @@. Try that

Go back to the Microsoft page for support in my description. Some comments on this video say it looks like the code to copy is different now and that may be the issue. Let me know. I’m curious.

Cloud gaming is horrendous even with the best internet. The input lag completely ruins it for me. I guess ill have to dual boot.

I still cant get mine to launch. when pushing play in gaming mode it looks like it will launch and just takes me back to the launch screen. help please!

How do i know if the code works. For me i hit enter and it just moves down a line, no text box or anything

I 've tired 5 different videos ,with no luck...it's installing edge..not game pass...when i play it goes to Microsoft Edge not game pass..from there i did load up game pass but steam deck controls not working???

Did you figure it out? I noticed the code looks different in Microsoft edge properties now compared to everyone else's videos. I think that's the problem, we need someone to update this

I get all the way to opening games. Than get "Controller Not detected - connect a controller or press a button to enable". Ive installed the flatpak . But, it persists.

Maybe change the controller settings while the xcloud browser is launched to a different option. It should be the one that’s something like controller and touchpads. Mess with those until one works.

When I get that it’s that missing single space in the part you copied and pasted. Go double check.

I did and that’s what made me make this video. I would go back and double. Heck the install page from Microsoft and see if copy/paste that strong back in to see if it’s the problem.

I know. Microsoft needs to make an app for the steamdeck. There’s another thing I saw for streaming your console. I’ll have to look into that and make a video.

Go to the written instructions from Xbox website I linked. Make sure you do the step in Konsole. That ended up not in the video. I’m so sorry. Check that.

@@notquitenerdy so i paid for the x box game pass for $16 theres proof and deduction of my money when i try to sign in because u need to sign in to play a game so i did that but when i did it brings me to x box game pass page and from there all the x box thing i did just disappear and i’m stuck at the x box game pass page

I’ve been there. You’ll have to force close that “game” and go back and recheck every step. Make sure there is one space between where you pasted that box code into launch area. Go double check the Xbox page in the description. Some people have commented that it changed and updated.

@@notquitenerdy Thank you for the help, I managed to fix it by just force closing it as you said and then I just had to change a bit of the code as I typed it wrong and it worked.

Mine still won't load even with all of the steps carefully done. It just tries to launch but then doesn't.
