I used a 6 inch Fabtech lift kit , taller knuckles and a crossmember for lower control arm , worked great , stopped buffering on hyw from semi’s , can take corners much faster , 36inch tires BF Goodrich all terrain , 2000 extended cab Silverado gasser

I only have a 3 inch lift (OME 883 front springs, Dakar leaf pack in rear), but put in a 1 inch diff drop. Within a month both OEM boots were torn, but then again they had at least 150k miles on them and were most likely due to be replaced anyways (Truck had about 290K miles at the time, but no service records older than 150K miles showing the axles ever being replaced). Replaced them with rebuilt OEM Toyota CV axles with upgraded extended boots from CVJ Axles. 15K miles later and the boots on the new axles still look good. About 5k of those 15K miles is from offroad driving. Truck is a 1999 Tacoma SR5 V6 5MT.

what additional comments would you have with respect to torsion bar suspension on a KZN hilux? I've toyed with switching to a heavier gauge torsion bar to decrease some 'diving' under breaking when towing..

What do you think of diff drops?
