Thank you for doing this video, because you know what it shows me... or atleast makes me wonder, is that maybe the crappy results I get sometimes is because of the quality if paints I'm using. Mont Marte Paint isn't the worst haha but definitely not the best. Can't wait till the day I can afford all the paints you use and see the difference in the results 😁 loving this video, thanks for sharing Johnny!

I am doing a similar experiment because I found a set of 23 colours (or possibly 22 and 1 glitter) 60ml bottles all for around £10 so if they work well, that would be incredible value. My 9yr old nephew asked me to teach him some paint pouring so I figure we'd try these paints out. He loves your chameleon pours so we'll definitely have to try one of those.

I realize it's not what you like or expected but it's still an interesting painting. I certainly wouldn't get bored looking at it because it's so different. And different isn't always necessarily bad... just different. Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't hate the way it broke the paint, I thought it gave it an interesting look but it definitely did not dry well. If you could get that look and have it dry well it would make it unique.

Thanks for sharing, JMo! A great learning video! Could it have been the white being a different brand and it not mixing well with the other colors? Hmmm...either way, it was a great watch and it shows not all paint is created equally! Thanks and have a great weekend!!

It's still a cool painting with some interesting effects. Appreciating it for that may help for a project in the future. But I definitely agree the results look a bit chalky and certainly not well-defined crisp edges you would expect to see.

When I first began to watch you do your pours, you would say you had to put down a paint to pillow on the canvas so the oils you put in the paint did not touch the canvas. You have not done that in a while why ? Also is that why you had trouble with this paint?

Try to do a pour without the coconut oil. Maybe there is a bad reaction with the chemical.

Looks to me that its a dye based paint and not a mica based paint. Cheaper paints use dyes and dye doesn't act the same as traditional paint. This looks exactly like my attempts with dollar store paints that are dye based

Mind you I didnt use silicone with the dollar store paint but a water glue mix as my flow base mixed with the paints and a drop or two of dish soap for cells

Unfortunately, I have been in your situation. The age of the paint is a large factor. There are some companies that buy old paint and then resell it after altering it. They don't even stop to think about what would happen to the piece. They think about the money only.

Premixed is a great concept but it's not for me. I have tried two popular premixes and didn't like them. Also, for me, I didn't feel like I was a total part of the art work that was created. I definitely didn't like that feeling. Luckily, I love mixing and will stick to that.
