I understand why Don wouldn’t want to watch Transformers Prime, because he thinks it will be more of the same like the movies. This is definitely not the case though, Prime actually cares about the robot characters themselves, and the humans varey in their involvement but are usually just side characters in the major arcs (instead of being the primary characters). Optimus and Megatron are definitely the best they’ve been in the show and we get to actuall learn about the backstory between them and Cybertron. If the best movie, 2007, is a 7/10, Prime is definitely a 9/10

I loved this movie when I went to see it. I laughed at some parts, got emotional at others, and got a little bit annoyed at others, too. I wasn't expecting to love Mirage as much as I did, given who his voice actor was, but surprise surprise. The teamwork between the Autobots and the Maximals as they worked together to take down the Terrorcons and Unicron was amazing. I felt my jaw drop when I saw Scourge kill Bumblebee, but I was ecstatic when he made his epic entrance into the fight after being re-energized by all the Energon deposits. Honestly, hearing the voices of Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman in the same movie is way too cool to not love. I gave this movie a solid 9/10.

Hey don if you don’t wanna check out the shows (Prime is extremely good but i understand why you might to want to make that large of a commitment), you should check out the original 1986 animated movie. It has a lot of the characters from the movies like Optimus, Megatron and Bumblebee, but is also animated in a really cool anime style. It’s not too long as well so I think it’s worth a watch just for the hell of it

The producers said this is the first of three new Transformers movies. 4:11 originally there was only supposed to be one gorilla in the movie and this scene wasn’t filmed till the end. Apparently they had trouble with the cgi company. They underbid and had trouble completing the film so they brought another company in to help finish and they added the first scene. This is evident by looking at Scourge. In the beginning he takes Apelinq’s badge but later in the movie you don’t see the badge on him. 4:58 no as you find out later in the movie he was named after Optimus Prime but he isn’t a prime 6:59 he has Sickle cell anemia. I learned in this movie that it also affects some Hispanic as well. This movie the director said they modeled Optimus Prime’s face off Peter Cullen’s face. 16:01 the police are in some places insured by the city and that fund would cover accidents. 20:44 they had plans to bring Hailee Steinfield back but they scrapped it. I love Bumblebee’s reaction to being told no more drive-ins. 31:30 but the Cogman (the butler droid) didn’t transform into a jet. In the toys he transformed into a car.

This is how you can think of it: the Bayverse ended with Unicron waking up and destroying Earth (since he was buried within the Earth in TLK), killing all humans and enslaving any remaining Transformers in the process. Starting with Bumblebee, we are now following a different, parallel universe, in which Unicron is present as his own entity, and if you want to take it a step further, Unicron in the reboot universe can potentially be Bayverse Unicron who found his way to another universe through the multiverse.

This movie has some great nods to the original cartoon transformers movie from 1986.. and pretty much everything from the G1 generation of transfomers.. Same with the Robotic suit that he got in the end...

6:50: I think it’s called Sickle Cell Anemia, it’s when the blood cells aren’t shaped properly and they block the bloodstream because they get tangled together, and often the treatment for it is very expensive and can take a very long time (at least that’s what I think it is/remember from a health class that covered it, if I’m wrong please correct me) 27:41: also to answer your question, there are different kinds of energon (like 4 that I know of) the regular energon is blue, it’s standard, pretty normal stuff, basically the life force of transformers. Then there’s Green Energon that was shown in TFP (Synthen I believe) which is basically crack for Transformers, it makes them wicked strong but they can’t think straight while its in their systems. Then there’s High Grade which is a pink color I believe, and is like alcohol to Transformers. And then there’s the Dark Energon, it’s purple in color and is the life force of Unicron and the Terrorcons (which are basically zombie robots under the control of Unicron) this was also touched on a lot in TFP since Megatron was experimenting with it a lot. 33:21: I think it’s only Marage that can do that, he’s what’s called a polyformer, meaning that he has an extremely powerful T-Cog (what allows them to transform) which makes it so he can turn into numerous different things like the fump truck, all the sports cars he showed off, and what allows what happens later in the movie when me makes a suit of armor around Noah. (There’s also things called Monoformers (who can’t transform because they either got their T-Cog destroyed, their T-cog is defective, or they were created without it) and Triple changers (who have three total forms, their root mode (humanoid form) and two root modes, usually a land vehicle of some kind and a plane) I know Triple changers were touched on in G1 and some of the comics but idk about Monoformers)

Which was, unicorn (a big big bad Villian you know now) he’s a whole planet and he’s earth in the bay verse universe (transformers 1 - last knight Michael bay directed it) the new faction are the maximals which includes aplinx (the old leader the gorilla who died,) Optimus primal (the new leader his name was inspired by Optimus prime,) Cheetor, Rhinox, and airazor. The terracons which unicorn (the leader the big planet,) Scourge (The one in command of the little team unicorn made,) night bird, and battle trap. The auto bots which include, Optimus prime (the leader the best character in my opinion,) Mirage (like the main characters bestfriend technically,) bumblebee, Pablo (wheel Jack,) and arcee. I know you know all of this now and this message was late so I know you know what the plot for tf 6 would’ve probably been cya man.

I like to think this is and Bumblebee are prequals, NOT reboots, to the first Transformers movie seeing as how this is set in the 90's and Bumblebee being set in the 80's. People wouldn't know about the autobots yet because remember they didn't become noticed until in the first Transformers which is set in 2007. Plus you notice how hostile Prime is towards the humans in this compared to the other movies? Because he hadn't worked alongside them until now, which is why in the first movie he has no problem working with a human to help the autobots and keep earth safe. So basically Bumblebee would also be set before and Charlie would be the first human he basically bonds with before Sam. That's why when Sam gets Bumblebee he still looks like a bug car because that was the last state he was in before, obviously, turning himself into a Camero for Sams liking lol. But yes, the government DO know (as you see at the end) because remember Sector 7 was also involved in Bumblebee, they just had no real reason to interfere until the events of the first Transformers because that's when Earth really becomes a war zone and the autobots/decepticons are no longer secret. EDIT: I highly suggest watching the G.I. Joe movies if you haven't already. A lot of people aren't aware of the Transformers x G.I. Joe crossover (even though they're made from the same toy company lol) so most were confused at the ending. Not sure when the crossover movie will come out, but watching the G.I. movies beforehand will give you some context to the organization.
