To Chases mom, all cats and dogs have different personalities just like people do some are shy and more quiet and some are more outgoing and demonstrative showing affection. but as the other person just asked, did he start hugging on his own like that or did you have to prompt him by hugging him and stuff??

Animals are actually very good at reading body language and tone of voice, that's their survival mechanism. How they interprete it is based on their interest and their knowledge. Wild animals dont know humans much and only interest in whether you are a threat. Domesiticated one have thousand year of experience living with us, they are interested in our well beings. It doesnt mean they will react the same though.

That was just too cute when Chade played hide n seek with you. Absolutely adorable when he called himself hiding but you can see him. My grandson does the same thing.🤣 Chase is amazing. I just love him! My cat sits just like he does. I call it his old man stance.🤣🤣🤣
