@@abarrazarios For real if you have the proper tools and a good service manual/AllData (or these days KZfaq lol) you can really accomplish any repair or maintenance item on your vehicle. I mean I went to school and got an applied sciences degree in automotive technology and then when I went out and started working in the field that shit didn’t really ever get out to use lol, you have to learn hands on and actually do it anyway to people just gotta grab a wrench and go.

after seeing this, it makes me feel good that a beginner (like myself) can still learn. I changed my oil, flushed and filled coolant system and changed my motor mounts. TBH, I was always scared of even touching the battery, but I had to take it out to get to one of the mounts, and just that was freeing for me. I can finally say I DID IT!

You're not alone! I just recently found the money pit series and have been watching the hell out of it. Super educational and hilarious at the same time! It was really nice to see a skilled mechanic helping out a relatively non-skilled mechanic, for lots of us it gave us the perspective of ourselves trying to do something this daunting.

My tip for electrical connectors is that I have an assortment of different colored zip-ties. I put a tie on the lead to the connector, and one of the same color around the receptacle or sensor. Just not on hot stuff like o2 sensors. I just leave them on. That way, they are pre-marked if I have to disconnect them in the future. Works great, and saves confusion and time.

James followed Zack's order of operation,. Didn't think we'd notice when Zack told him, "be ready for spills, it's gonna happen, have rags and brake cleaner handy, but also draining the transmission first would have prevented this.(8:24)" Even though he just told everyone to pull driveshaft and then drain all fluids.(3:29) Remember kids always drain fluids before pulling driveshaft. Jkjk your videos are awesome!!! Good job James! If you can do it anyone can lol. Hiring Zack was one of their best decision Donut has ever made!

I actually did this exact thing years ago with a friend of mine. I was a professional mechanic, my friend was a car enthusiast with some experience working on cars, but not much. We replaced the engine in his FWD car in his driveway. I “made” him do most of the work, offering guidance and a helping hand when needed. Honestly, the best way to help someone learn something as hands-on as car repairs is to just have them do it and offer advice when they get stuck or start to do something wrong/dangerous.
