Funny story about those vettes, there was a Chevy dealership that gave them to the astronauts for free, as government employees they had to give them back. The dealership got around this by making a deal that the astronauts could come in and get a vette for $1 per year. Of course having three guys that are space jockeys in sports cars they were hot rodded and drag raced on the long straight roads cape canaveral. Anyways $1/year corvettes because government

Given how expensive the space race was there was a lot of bullshittery that went on. Making fenders out of maps and duct tape, setting land speed records, fixing a life support system with duct tape and other stuff they had laying around, making GP circuits on the moon, playing golf on the moon.

I have suggestion for a past gas episode, could you do the story/history behind Gale Halderman and his part in designing the original ford mustang, he lived near me before he passed away this spring, and I got to sit down and privately chat with him, and it was really cool, hope you can do an episode on him, but if you can't I understand, I love your stuff, you guys are so funny, god bless.

Tiny correction as a guy that majored in physics in college; it's not requred to go to the moon first to get to mars for man. The current plans to set up a send off point just makes consistent intersolar trips much easier, as you're not wasting so much energy getting away from the Earth.
