Thank you very much for the playthrough. I' ve been watching your channel since the Hell Revealed II times and if it weren't for your viewer submissions I don't think I'd ever start mapping. I'm really glad you came up with tactics for final arena better than mine because I die there most of the times. It's amazing how far you get during blind run because this definitely isn't blind-run-friendly map. Map facts: The map is named after Joy Division song. Just like the song it's about loneliness, claustrofobia, paranoia, fear of external (authoritarian/demonic) control, set in somewhat surreal imaginary location. The first room of this map was made around Christmas 2019 and it's the third iteration sent to decino. Idea of using lifts during fight actually comes from OCD-Doom - MAP30: Icon of Sin - viewer's submissions round 1. Idea of Helicopter at the end is copied from Kama Sutra map 13. decino missed doomcute / a piece of storytelling -> at 43:24 there's dead Doomguy next to beacon with cell pack. When you take the cell pack, beacon turns off. Naturally, it can't work without cells. You can see it at 43:30. Final two Imps are the ones who controled windows in plasmagun room and who released you from blue key trap. Also revenants in final arena were the ones controling arachnotron covers in blue key arena. It's possible to trigger all-ghosts bug if you shoot approximately in the north direction in the chaingun room.

Thank you for the submission! I've got nothing but praise for your map, it's fantastic. Clever use of monsters + walkover lines to control all the lifts in the map, it's a very underused feature to make the map feel more alive for sure. Can't believe I missed taking the energy cell pack disables the beacon, that's a neat detail. I'm glad the videos got you into mapping, you've got a great eye for aesthetics but also a deep understanding of what makes combat fun and engaging along with having some pretty advanced mapping tricks built into the map. Great stuff!

This is a really cool-looking map that shows that techbase doesn't have to mean uninteresting architecture, and the combat is interesting, too. It even managed to prove the Blursphere can be useful against non-hitscan enemies. As disappointing as it can be to not have your own map get picked, it's worth it to see a cool one that slipped under your radar like this.

In the room at 8:04, you can see that there are strips of light panels connected to the elevators that raise and lower the Revenants. That makes it far easier to tell at a glance roughly how long you have before they pop up again. That's a fantastic little touch that'll give you an advantage if you're paying attention.

"The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" is a vibe I'm getting from this map. I'm positive that this map will be better than the next submission. I still think the lows of round 3 and 4 will probably not be outdone by 5, but prove me wrong.

The most profound piece of tech base art with intriguing traps, monster closets and puzzles I have seen. Even the secrets are fulfiling. That plasma closet was super cool! Definitely want to see a full WAD. A WAD 90% as difficult as Sunlust would be cool.

I really like the idea of doing blind runs first with these viewer submissions because that way we as the viewers get to see your first impressions of each level which I personally really enjoy seeing and I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys seeing that and what a way to start the next viewer submission round a tech base level done really well with clever map design and a all round good looking map and of course good combat which is always important I always look forward to seeing these as it's really cool to see what the doom community comes up with. Big fan of tech base style levels coming in second to hell levels which are my favourite as long as they are done good as in map design/combat though I guess you can say that about any level really it's good if it's done correctly lol. But anyway as I said great start to the next round of submissions if this is anything to go by on what to expect to see in this round then I'm really excited for the other submissions and what they have in store. anyway it's twenty to midnight I'm starting to feel like I might actually get some sleep so with that as always cheers for upload decino and cheers to whoever sent in this submission

This is a deceptively awesome map for sure. Stock textures & d_runnin, but Jariditumim obviously has a ton of talent and put a lot of thought and effort into making it. There's so much attention to detail in the textures, and the light cues you show around the 29min mark, and the whole outside area being explorable.

I decided to go check out the old video submissions video regarding this year's set of maps, and it's pretty cool to see that you have all the current and past submissions available for viewing. Be well pumpkin man. See you in the next one!

The blind runs of submitted levels are a great idea. Not only does it show your initial reactions to the fights (which might be extremely valuable to the mappers), but it also keeps the intrigue, as we won't know until the end how many maps are going to get rejected and which ones will replace them.

I'd never thought my brother with analytical mind is this much creative. I witnessed the whole process from early draft to finish product and was blown away by his good eye for detail, design and the story behind. And i'm so proud that decino and his viewers enjoyed his map. I hope he will complete other maps he has up in his sleeve (but he is perfectionist so he needs a deadline for submission :D).

Nice and interesting base tech map. I really enjoy it watching the playthrough. It has a couple of quite creative fights and with a high and moderate difficulty that require strategy. That area where they catch you and you have to resist, he said, he got quite worried about what could happen but at the same time he had a lot of fun because of the mechanics of the fight. A really fun map, and thanks for the creator to make a such interesting map.

Yes, the practiced run was sterile compared to the blind run. It didn't even make the map look special because you couldn't see how the mapper uses every single enemy to pressure you. Turn to fight the revenant, there's a pinky. Move to fight the archvile, you're in the field of fire of an arachnotron. He sprung all his traps on Decino and it was marvelous.

Talk about a storng start. This looks like a great map. Regarding your comment at the end, I checked the DW thread and it seems the version you got is the one that got a few touch-ups to improve the experience(I can also see the original was only tested in GZDoom and it was straight-up broken in Vanilla-accurate ports like Crispy or PrBoom+).
