40oz really created some great maps in Zeppelin Armada. Compass Canopy, Tumblerock Rapids, Nightwatch... And this one, beautiful and surreal, fun fights, also the midi was very fitting. @Vytaan Nice job with the 3-archie trap plus the missile dodging in the final fight! Can't wait to see you play the next map.

I thought his mapping game was on point in AUGER;ZENITH, and yet he managed to surpass that skill level to the point of lapping it. I'm still dumbfounded that this uses zero Boom functions! Massive props. 👏🏻

Not difficult to see why. It has the visuals, the music, the spice and even plot. It's the complete package.

Living Library is one of my favourite maps in this DBP, and bar none my favourite library map ever in Doom 🤩 It ticks all my boxes for style: it's huge and chock full of books like any library should be, it's extremely elegant with its mahogany and brass surfaces, but at the same time it is an inviting giant with all its open air and singing birds. It's helped even further by the music pick, Mark Klem's Under Death. In this setting, it gives off that sumptuous air of high class perfectly fitting the library motif, at least until the guitars roll in. And while the rocking second half of Under Death doesn't fit what I described above, it certainly matches the action. 40oz is not afraid to toss a lot of invaders your way, and he may overequip you a bit, but there's no true free lunch. The last two fights can EASILY spiral out of control, as you found out the hard way... I said in map15 that this map can fold you like a page, and this is what I meant. Alas, while this is an awesome map, it's a distant second for me. The gold medal is right up ahead. The Flying Time Fortress is 💯%, no discussion, my favourite gameplay-oriented map in all of the Doomer Boards Projects so far. See you aboard, Zeptaan.

Definitely feels like a final map!! Dramatic and pretty close fights lol. If you're looking for another relatively short blind playthrough, I just finished Terror Signal! Quite difficult fights with some very clever stuff going on. Seems like gameplay you would enjoy. 😎

Wow! I was just thinking, "Is this map too easy, or is Vytaan just that good?" And then three archies show up out of nowhere and things get massively harder from there on out! Kind of funny pacing. Starting off with that plasma with nothing to use it on but a couple packs of demons and a bunch of imps. But by the end, the pacing was no longer a concern, haha. And it was a really cool looking map too. I especially liked that final room, with that Sunder orange vibe.

I get so nervous whenever I get close to the end of a WAD and a map feels surprisingly easy... you just know there's going to be some trap that will catch you off guard 😅 But I made it through! Beautiful map indeed :)

Actually, your first pronunciation of "routes" (like "roots") was correct. This word has two pronunciations, and your second pronunciation is the Old English pronunciation, which has long since fallen out of use in the UK, but has somehow survived in the US and Canada, even though every US dictionary lists the first pronunciation as the main and preferred pronunciation, and the second only as a possible "alternative". The reason why the first pronunciation is preferred is because the second pronunciation sounds exactly like routs (entourage, retinue, group of soldiers, mob, riot, etc.), and as you can see, these two words with totally different meanings also have almost exactly the same spelling, just one letter different, so they should at least have different pronunciations to make them more distinguishable. Also, the word routes came to the UK from either the Dutch or French word with exactly the same spelling (it is unknown where the UK took it from), and in both Dutch and French the word is pronounced almost like "roots", so going by origin story, the first pronunciation is also preferable.

Thanks for the explanation! Interestingly, I'm Dutch, so I'm used to pronouncing it like 'roots' - but I was always unsure if it was pronounced the same way in English, as I've heard both variants a lot.

You are getting a million cells, spheres, and armors because even slaughter isn't supposed to be super difficult in DBPs (that I have played). Although, I did die in the next map... :o
