I first met Eliot at a funeral for a mutual friend in Green Bay back when he was in We The Heathens (the deceased was the person who turned me on to WTH) and based in Wausau, WI. I was lucky ro see Eliot and that band play a few times in a basement venue. Since then my friend has consistently blown me away with literally every thing he has done. When I first got the Doom Scroll record it was sometimes listened to for days straight. Absolutely in love. At some point I texted him and basically told him he is a f-ing genius.

For those who dont know, Doom Scroll is Elliots new band (from We the heathens and Atrocity solution) Been putting out records since 2007 so those commenters who said hes copying days n daze and fat mike need to de their research. :)

Nah, DND doesn't own the genre or anything. Nobody says "they're playing guitars so they're exactly like THIS band who also has guitar players" but put a washboard in a band and they're immediately the same as another band with a washboard 🙄 These guys sound totally different, also no trumpet player.... but they are part of the same community of folk punks so thats cool. Jesse does a lil guest vocals on "Silver Lining" from their first album! Its pretty sick, if you're a fan of the genre, you should check it out.
