I tried to watch the first season but fell asleep during every episode. Despite that I was fairly sure that Galadriel discovered who Sauron was when he threw her into the river? Seems like this season, she is still trying to figure out who Sauron is, or am I confused?

No, it's not a disaster! Could have been done better but it is the first fantasy series from Tolkien's Middle-earth. If they wouldn't have done it you would not have what to brag about.

Yeah it’s not going to be good, but it does look like an improvement over the first season because they don’t seem to be including the Harfoots or the Southlands plot line.
