Door Speakers Upgrade for Your Jeep Renegade

It took me long enough but its finally here. In this video I do a full swap of all four door speakers o the Renegade. I went with a different route with my Renegade and installed four Rockford Fosgate 6X9 speakers, I recommend going on to CrutchFields website and looking up what speakers work with your Renegade. The ones I install in this video are not standard and will require some trimming and grinding. But if your interested in doing the same mod as me i will like what i used below.

Honestly any speakers are an upgrade from stock

Jelly having 6x9s all around, none of my cars have had anything that size, almost always 6.5s or even worse 4s. Have u thought about foam baffles for the speakers, i usually use them to prevent water from getting on the speakers, frameless subaru doors dont help. Also seem to help with bass response a tad.

Was it really better as mine sounds good as is. I am shocked how good it's come as standard.everybody who gets in car say's the same...base is good it's all good...I get you have changed so you must know . respect your opinion thanks UK wayne

Stock doesn't sound too bad. With the changes that I made I say there wasn't a huge difference. If I were to switch out the head units then they would improve a lot more.

Hey question? Have you ever thought about switching your stock Sun visor to LED as well? Since everything on the inside is led? It would look nice

Well, finally got the speakers installed. Absolutely no trim or panels came off easy. It was a grueling battle lol! But everything fits without modifications and sounds great!

@AdventureGT after further testing, the stock radio is not powerful enough to really push these speakers. Was a very noticeable decline in bass from stock speakers. Will have to get an amp to help out I guess

Ottimo video solo per smontaggio cartella porta. Se vuoi veramente migliorare il sound non é con altoparlanti 6x9 che si risolve. Il problema grosso é sempre la sorgente originale. Per sostituzione altoparlanti meglio sempre woofer da 165mm. Esiste un apposito adattatore per jeep cioé qcomp sa 3834. Costa 17 euro la coppia e non ci sono modifiche da apportare

I bought my 2018 jeep becuz of them speakers. I thought the original system was decent. If I change mine, I'm going for either Klipsch, or Bose.

Technically the original size IS 6x9, just shallower ones. Honestly, a spacer probably would prevent you from needing to modify the enclosure.

If he’s not swapping out that head unit or installing another amp are those speakers getting enough watts RMS?

Enough to hear a difference but with an amp or aftermarket head unit you'll be able to really tell a difference

I screwed up. Got a new sub, barely fit hole and got passed and cut plastic. I can got to pull it for a replacement sometime but for now making an abs sheet cover and a metal protective grill. Thinking the speaker actually got wet too many times. This happened to front door speaker. How much depth is in there? I see factory replacement for 18 but there are others with higher than 45 RMS and from 200 to 400 watt. While I have door off I can find out why that doorwell LED ambient lighting stopped working.

Compared to other cars I've heard stock, I'd say no. Then again I have the latitude. I know they make some Renegades with beats system. I'm sure those are better

Good to know that you can fin 6x9, sucks you have to mod it to work. But hey, good luck to you buddy!
