you both clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Doremy has been one of the best EU Tetris players for years, and he streams very often. We also see him (occasionally), lose and makes misdrops too. He's very clearly human, and accusing him of cheating or being "fake" is just ignorant and false. If you want to see how he compares to an actual AI, look up Zetris.

The 2nd place guy had several people attacking them, so they get to send LOTS of extra garbage to attackers (like doremy)

FT029 during the end though he only had 2 people attacking him and he still sent a bunch of garbage over

I did have a lot of garbage stacked up, and I threw three Tetrises in a row that likely caused him to nearly top out. I didn't have much stack left after that, so I had to rebuild. He used that time to recover. Getting something like 150 lines thrown my way was unreal.

@@aquaticstarr4607 Nah. They could beat any bot, but a TAS is not a bot but a program making the perfect move every time, able to plan far ahead knowing every piece they'll get. So even a godly player like Doremy wouldn't beat that.

you know TAS stands for Tool-Assisted-Speedrun? When you're talking about a TAS, you're either talking about the actual speed run or the *bot* that's doing it. also, for some bots that are pretty much humanly impossible to beat, search coldclear and zetris

@@spacenoodles5570 yeah, they don't have special line clear bonus like with T-spins for some reason. I think it's because most of the other spins are only possible because of the wall kicking mechanics that are only present in more recent Tetris games.

@@spacenoodles5570 sort of, yes. It basically means if you try to rotate a piece and there is a wall obstructing its rotation it will move it to the nearest spot where the rotation will work. One example is if you hold an "i" piece against a wall and try to rotate it, normally it would refuse to because it would extend out of the bounds of the wall. Instead it will rotate it flat but push it out so that it will fit against the wall.

Most Tetris titles nowadays have the Hard Drop function, meaning that if you know where you want the piece to land... You can just drop it without waiting for it. Good tool for the early stages, not for the late rounds.

That, my friend, is called "Bait Strat". You do this then switch your attack menus to attackers to gain easy kills.

Sometimes the board will be cleaner going for a single rather than hitting the double. A tspin double followed by a triple is 6 lines of garbage. A tspin single followed by a tetris (the result of not going for the double) is also worth 6 garbage lines. You downstack further by going for the single instead of the double.

in standard tetris, you probably shouldnt. in tetris 99, you can set the game to attack players based on 4 scenarios, and most players will target others who are about to die. you die when you screen fills out and you place a block outside the play area. so, fill out your area, and the game sees youre about to die, so you get a lot of people to attack you. set your own game to attack players who are attacking you. this is the only way to attack multiple people at once. now you have tons of lines to clear because youre about to die, which means you have tons of ammo to pump into the guys attacking you. they expect someone near death to be pretty bad, but youre not. you keep your screen over half full, and in turn you fill up other players screens to score tons of KOs. the more KOs you get, the more lines you send to anyone still standing, until you have 20 KOs, and now youre sending twice as many lines as you were at 0 KOs.
