It is heartbreaking to watch these film clips of Hudson reminiscing with Doris Day just before his death. Can you imagine the fortitude that it took for Hudson, who was one of the best looking actors in Hollywood, to appear on a show with his former co-star, in a debilitated condition, looking gaunt and ill. He was motivated by friendship and affection for her. Day was right that something good came out of the experience- Hudson's death brought attention to the disease and support for treatment.

I'm a 'straight' male, but Hudson is an actor I always liked. He was charming, adept at light comedy and reliable in any part. I saw him being interviewed on BBC TV by Terry Wogan in the 1980's and he seemed just as likeable in real life as in the movies. RIP Rock and thanks for the performances and being a gentleman in life.

kboxer5555 Ms. Day's given so much of herself - first to 'us,' and, now to her friends, family - furry and otherwise. A good friend of mine (thats why I don't give my name, nor hers) are in the business, and we'd talk about this one, or that, but, Ms. Day - for a myriad of reasons - is always held in esteem; 'never say anything bad about Doris,' she'd say,' but, we never did (my friend I'm referring to, passed away, and I really miss her). I know she's made many of my 'down' times a bit brighter. I wasn't even alive when she was making films, but, her talent, her persona is so transcendent it's timeless. A true gift. I've never had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Day, and, for me, it's ok. I am one of those who doesn't like everyone knowing everything about people. A person's private life should (ALWAYS) be just that. I've heard stories of her devotion to her friends, such as Rock, and, you can see how deeply happy they both are - just being with each other, holding some furry friends, and talking. Not a lot of people give me a true thrill to meet, etc. after all, we really all eat, sleep, etc. but, for me, Ms. Day does 'get' to me. I know I'm not alone that, and, I wish Ms. Day good health, and happiness, and thanks, so very, very much.

Doris and Rock were friends. Doris has said she knew nothing about Rock's sexual preference while both were acting, and remained his friend until his death. When Doris was your friend, it was for life. Bless her and her wonderful animal foundation, to which we donate because there is no better cause than to help precious pets who cannot talk for themselves, and who, unfortunately in this world, need all the help they can receive. PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS so overpopulation doesn't cause them to have to be euthanized! There is almost nothing in this world, that can compare to a pet who loves you, because it is so unconditional! They react, but they do not judge.
