In this Vlog Dormer Construction Attic Conversion the guys begin loading the trusses in and start on the Dormer
The team starts with triple timber floor joists and then build off that with a 4x2, get plywood and then extend the timbers through.
They then set the precedence of where the timbers come up for the dormer
Cutting the king posting to make sure the timber is side by side in order to make the frame as strong as possible. A double plate onto a triple joist which will allow us to run the wall plates back, put all the uprights on and then we are ready to put on our first truss
Building control also came by to check on the fire sheeting on the steels they then asked us to take up the OSB and put all the chicken mesh all the way through then put the rockwool in
Tom from Rubber4Roofs has been giving tony a hand with the Dormer while Pete, Dan, and Eliot have been cutting out the monos
The guys then put hand cut rafters in, Tom, Dan, and Eliot discuss hammers and a funny origin story
Then heads to the office to do facia detail and soffits mock-up to see how many is needed
