As of November 2023 is the Doro7050 still in production? Last week I damaged by 7050 of four years and CC said they'd send a replacement. Instead they stuck me with a new SUBPAR model: the MASSIVELY INFERIOR Link II 8GB! I've had nothing but problems with it! I'm used to the Doro7050 and I want a new one of those!

I bought this phone a few months ago, and it didn't take long before I lost the ability to use it. My son suggested I take out the battery, I did, and that took care of the problem. Unfortunately, it kept happening. It is very difficult to take off the back of the phone, and after stabbing my finger with the knife I had to use, I have left it off. The battery is hard to get out as well. Like one of the the other customers, I can't access old messages. Now the phone has stopped ringing. I can't access what I need in "sound". I haven't changed the number of rings, and it goes into voicemail after two "rings". Doesn't make sound for voicemail and messages either.

Looking for instructions on how to change the ring time. The phone rings 3 times and goes to voicemail. I'd like to change that to a few more rings? Any suggestions?

I upgraded to the 4g 13 months ago; worked fine for a few months but then I could not get a connection. I took it to Target and said it was a faulty phone and replaced it. This one worked great for a couple of months and then I could only make a connection by taking out the battery and and putting it back in. I've talked with reps and Target as well so many times and gave me suggestions and the problem persists. I was told this week that I must buy a new phone and now puzzled as what to buy; maybe time to go back to a landline.

Does this phone allow you to turn off the ringer during certain hours of the day/night? Thanks.

Thank you for asking! There isn't a setting on the Doro 7050 that allows you to schedule times for the ringer to be off, but it is very simple to turn the ringer off or on as you need.

Mine has a mind of it's own. It only works when it wants to. Sometimes it lets me make calls.. sometimes the buttons don't respond to me. Sometimes I push a number and instead of it entering just once, it gives me 3 or 4 of the number in a row. If I push 9, for example, it will give me '9999'. It's so frustrating! I also can't pull up my last calls, and I can't get the external volume buttons to work. Is this thing a lemon, or are other people having the same issues?

I bought this phone for my father who is Blind..I put little Embedded stickers on the numbers so he can dial out..We got the phone and it won't allow us to dial out unless u keep taking the battery out..We called got a replacement and guess what??? The same thing is Happening..I thought he possibly was doing something wrong but I sat and watched him and its definitely not him its the Phone. Called customer service they go thru the steps to fix via satellite but after all that its still doing the same thing..So frustrating...Any advice???

Can you turn the time, date etc. off on the front of DORO 7050. My husband thinks it runs the battery down as it never goes off

How do I turn off the airplane mode? I went into setting, went through all the functions, got to VolTe Airplane mode.....it’s off but the phone isn’t recognizing it and therefore it’s stuck on airplane mode.

Not the same phone pictured as the one I purchased for my mother. The screen/options are different. Both manuals DoNot show how to navigate to menu on screen. I’ve tried several ways-watched these videos, Very Frustrating!!

How do you unlock the Doro 7050? thanks my wifes just went into lock mode and the keypad is useless?

Hi Ernest, this depends on the type of lock you're referring to. A keypad lock is set with a code that we don't have access to. Please give us a call at 800-686-4460 with her phone handy; we'll be happy to go through some troubleshooting with you.

For silent mode, hold down the # key, same to go back to normal mode.

I'm having my Aunt watch these as I'm not physically near her, but there is no video for going thru the menu to boost the volume. The side buttons don't make it loud enough. But I see that Consumer Cellular does not reply to comments and probably will not even see this. Also, the manual needs a lot of improvement, such as missing info, lack of clarity, missing images, images not labeled properly and so on.

I agree wholeheartedly. In general I like the DORO 7050. However, there is a serious flaw in the phone. When you're on the phone talking and you get another incoming call, you get the two beep signal. You can't stop the beep, even after you turn the phone off, it's still beeping and it will beep for 45 minutes. The only way to stop it is take the battery out. That was my first DORO. My second DORO the thing would freeze up at least once a day and the only way to get it going again was, you guessed it, take the battery out and re-install. A call to Consumer Cellular and they sent me a THIRD phone! This one did the same thing as the first. I asked for their cheaper phone, the AllCATEL, so far it's acting like a normal phone. I wish there was some way to get to the manufacturer of this phone, this is a simple fix. I like the phone and would still like to have it, just not with the problems I've just described.

When I first signed up for CC messaging was free, now all of a sudden my messaging is blocked and it will cost me $5 a month for something I only use 3-4 times a year. Rip off.

This DORO7050 from Consumer Cellular is a junk phone that locks up on you and as long as it works more than 10 days in a row they won't do a thing about it. I had to buy a new phone. The Doro7050 started locking up 8 weeks after I got it. I like Consumer Cellular service but I don't like that I got stuck with a junk phone that they won't do anything about.

I hate this phone!!! Got it barely 2 weeks ago, and the battery heats up really fast. Went out shopping after fully charging phone and battery completely died after 4.5 hours...this is the only phone I have and I’m disabled, so I need a reliable phone 24/7. The call waiting doesn’t always work. Save your $50.00 and get something else. Btw, I switched to Doro 7050 because the CC Link I’ gotten prior to the Doro 7050 was even worse,!

Hi, you like many other companies sold me a piece of trash that does not work right. Verizon tried to force me to buy an I phone, so I came to you guys and now you have my business phone number in limbo. My Doro is in about 12 pieces. Thanks, for nothing! Eventually I hope people realize we are forced out of necessity to buy things that companies don't even try out before they get out to the market. I'm really getting tired of buying trash. Thanks. I apologize for you.
