Our maxx air delux fans were a little bit noisy when they were in the closed position, so to combat the noise we fitted the maxx fan seal around the inner side of the fan sealing the unit when it is closed and stopping 90% of the outside noise, it's a simple job. You don't need to remove the fan from your roof even tho it recommends you to do so. STICK ABOUT TILL THE END FOR SOME TRUTH. #maxfanseal #JackeryUK #LightUpYourWinter

I completely agree with what you’re saying Neil… We started KZfaq for a couple of different reasons and we really do enjoy it however it does cost money to put out content. If we ever got to the point (which is unlikely) where we were getting offered to do collaborations and promos then I would snap their hands off… To get paid for doing something you love is a dream for a lot of people ❤

Yep, love what you're saying regarding reviews, what I really appreciate is that you're dead honest & we will always watch your content as it's always interesting & inspiring. Before we got a motorhome, to me KZfaq was WW2 Documentaries & Heavy Rock videos, I didn't have a clue people could make a living out of it. To be fair the Vanlife/ Motorhome fraternity are all really cool, I love your interaction with Dan I really do. Your van is bloody lovely & I really appreciate the advice you've given when asked. It's great that you... and many, many, *many* other KZfaqrs... advertise stuff. KZfaq is your bread and butter; keeps a roof over your head, pays the bills. If you can bring in extra money from sponsors...as long as you're not promoting them just for the sake of it, while not really believing in them... good for you! I admit it: I do 'sometimes' skip through ads: if it's something I know I won't be buying... for whatever reason... but I will not ever decry you for doing them. The rest of your stuff is bloody entertaining, interesting & informative. Keep it up. 👍

Fully agree with your approach: endorse and support items you have practical experience with, ensure these are relevant to the channel, and be open and honest in the title - ALWAYS avoid click bait on sponsored videos, and your audience will be (mostly) happy. If all else fails, there’s a button for that (marked “Off”).

Mate, Never a truer word spoken , I remember Rick saying when hitting 1k subs take the youtube money, and the 1st payment i spent on a sd card for the gopro, then next for the drone, after paying nearly 2 grands worth of kit why shouldn’t i get something back, i know ive still got lots to learn and thats the beauty of having great friends like yourself and Emma, listening your advice and seeing how creative you both are truly inspires me. have always found your vlogs informative, ok so you from time to time show us a few products that are out there and because you do the manufacturers give you one to review whats the problem with that ,,you also do give aways from time to time ,you have to do whats right for you ,i buy a magazine i see adverts i watch tv i see adverts but if that helps to keep the magazines going or the programme i like to watch going then its a price worth paying very few things in life are free ,and power banks might be expensive but if some people want them to improve the way they get out and about its a matter of choice no one is forcing anyone to buy one, your merely showing us whats out there ,keep doing what you do and thank you for all the hard work you put into your vlogs, they are great to watch and a lot of people like myself learn a lot from them

I think the thing is people just can't afford these power bank things.. a mate said to me power banks cost more than he spent on his car and work van put together. So it depends on your audience 🤔 its like advertising a Ferrari in a care home or job center. But KZfaqrs get the item free they don't except payments from the companies (hear that every time) thats because they would have to declare it as income to the tax man. I hold my hands up id do the same but you have to look at the price of these boxes its red rag to a bull mate. Keep the vids coming.

Just fast forward through the ads if you don't need what's being advertised. At least that's what i do. Makers of expensive cars advertise on the TV all the time... most care homes have TV..so I guess they just don't watch their ads but watch the rest of the programs... There is no difference here.

Always great videos and helpful content. To the moaners about sponsors or paid promotions - just don’t watch them if you don’t agree with or like them. As you say, you’re doing work so getting paid in whatever way you do is a bonus and a rears for the content you provide. Keep up the great work I say! 👍👍

Also put 1 x Viton O-ring over the retaining lugs of the rear vent. Stops it rattling… 5:23. 🇬🇧👍

Do you get much wind noise when driving (from the Maxxfan) since you have fitted the seal? Great point on KZfaq, fantastic you are using it to help you do something different which you enjoy and at the same time creating helpful (and often entertaining) content for us all to watch. I have a fan it’s a different type fitted for the Ambulance service, it has the same problem but mine doesn’t open. Luckily I can make a cover for the inside to clip over the inlet/outlet.

I don't mind KZfaqrs pitching stuff to me, as you say, it's usually a business and I can appreciate the motivation. It must be said, some make reviews/pitches much more elegantly than others, some with more authenticity than others. Now, some viewers will moan just because they'll moan at anything they don't like or understand or simply because they're trolls. However, there are some long-time subscribers of particular channels that have been watching since it was a hobby for the creator and don't appreciate that the focus of the channel has shifted. These particular viewers struggle with reviews and it takes some sympathetic communication from channel owners to keep these loyal subscribers. I think explaining stuff as you have done in this vid, Neil, is a sensible approach. (Although I did see you ranting, justifiably maybe, on Instagram. Ha ha.) It's a tricky game sometimes, not many people like the feeling of being sold to.

Hi Neil, Q) could you tell me, what’s the height on the maxxair when its open? I’m reading, 5inch/127mm closed and (9-15’16inch/252.4mm open) when ya look at it, seems higher then 252.4mm?? Reason, I have a rack I’m hopping the van will go under?? Great tip with the seal… 😊

So the way I see it, we get to watch your / other KZfaqrs videos for free. Whether that means I learn something or am just entertained it is all free to me. Why should you not get something out of it ? Yes there are a lot of power bank reviews and it does often end up that they are all the same time but if that means I still see all the other stuff for free I’m happy to listen to it. Question for you, I have the option of skipping the ads that pop up. If I do skip then does that affect you . Personally I always watch them wether I’m interested or not (mainly not to be honest) just in case it does earn you a few extra pennies. But if I skipped them does it affect you ? Cheers for this video, we’re partway through a van build and have put a Max fan in. Think I need to look for a seal 😀

Did you spray paint the electric board in the fan? It will prevent it from getting wet and damaged.

90% is a conveniently round number 🤔 After extensive personal research my own conclusions are that 89.5% of cats who expressed a preference prefer meow mix 😏 Oh and they like a quiet vent as well 😁 I must admit my mushroom vents are noisy buggers as they can't be closed ☹️ As usual chap 👍 upturned opposable digit from me 😎
