Modernized lava lamp. I used to have this in the 90's but new tech allowed me to create my own web version :-)

This lamp was made many years ago by Alex Gyver on his channel from sewer pipes.

This is all modeled by me in fusion 360 and i have an aluminium pipe in it as heat sink. The dome is also 3d printed, i had to try a lot of white filament to find the right diffusion. The idea was from Jason Coon, Alex Gyver probably also got the idea from him. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g9J-lq9i1Mi3cmQ.html

Cool if they were taller they would make a really cool looking warp core from Star Trek Voyager.👍🖖

very nice and realistic effects. Can you please make a longer video and keep the camera somewhere near so we can enjoy the effects. Is it running an arduino sketch?

It’s running on a $4 esp32. You can offcourse run it on arduino with minor adjustment, but than you’ll lose the wifi and webserver part. You can tweak all parameters from a web page and that is really nice. It’s kinda hard to make a new move with all three at once since my lamps are now integrated in my furniture, but i’ll see if i can record just the one...

@@MaltWhiskey Thanks for your reply. No issues with ESP32 either. I tried similar even on NodeMcu and it was not that bad.
