60 seconds of video for jigging 4096 LEDs. Epic!
@alexlee62474 күн бұрын
i wonder if you could scale this to create a massive pillar that you can put atop of buildings/skyscrapers and create those beautiful 3d hologram ads/lightshows that we see in every cyberpunk depiction

I do wonder how longer it would take if you used 0402 LEDs (1mm wide), lol

Is it possible to immerse this achievement in a cube-shaped formwork filled with epoxy resin which would have a cube shape to finalize the look without risk for the electrical installation ?

I’m used to seeing these being built with single-color LEDs, so I was blown away to see a multi-color led in a cube (and all the additional bends and connections)

Forget reasonable, find people with ridiculous money, build a hedge or digital fishtank, or IMAX theatre
@dud365527 күн бұрын
Its... really not that expensive, LED's are *extremely* cheap and an arduino ain't that expensive either, I guess this would cost somewhere around 100 to 200 bucks, at first, but could get way cheaper over time.
@skyeozga49359 күн бұрын
Try $1000-2000. That’s probably about 20,000 hand soldered connections. Really impressive work! The only way I can see to actually make these somewhat affordable would be with optically clear (glass/polyimide) PCBs and SMT assembly, but you wouldn’t get the same floating tower effect which I love about this implementation.
@StarrDust09 күн бұрын
@@skyeozga4935 ya but they can automate most of that...can drop a lot in price.

bro did u code every led alone ??
@paulsteventon8315Ай бұрын
To explain my previous comment, imagine that you are creating a hybrid. You need to allow for a channel to create your bond to gel the parts together to create your hybrid. Your system is a square 'ing off.
@paulsteventon8315Ай бұрын
I was looking at your light cube construction and theorised that you would eventually create HAL from it (Space Odessey 2001). You need to include a central gap.
