Hey Doto for future reference, if you do forward forward 2 and it lands, immediately do down 1+4. It combos, they can't escape the grab, and it goes into heat

I had some experience with Motion Capture for video games and gotta admit even though Namco has always created a seriously fluid and accurate movement animations and overall choreography for Tekkens in the past, (I think they were using MoCap before it was industry standard) They outdid themselves this time. Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :) Btw. You're pretty good, the game itself is quite difficult to master.

The Victor throw is a 1+2 throw so should be a 1+2 break Also Victor's throws have shorter break windows than the rest of the cast for some reason so keep that in mind if you ever feel like you broke it when the game says nuh uh

But he kicks them into the air so wouldn't it be a 1+3 break? I'm super new to Tekken so I have no idea. All I know is that the numbers correspond to limbs.

@@imlearning024 thats just the animation, what counts is what hands go out with the grab. So the break is always 1, 2 or 1+2. and Victors breaks r shorter is a bug I believe.... not sure though.

@@imlearning024 It's the limbs where they initially grab you and a spark starts, not the followup animations. The throw victor was using he has both arms raised up to do the grab so that's a 1+2 throw.

@DotoDoya You can cancel the side step grab to setup his other low or mid range attacks or launcher. Just hold back once the side step animation starts. Also you can convert the cancel to another grab - including the blue grab. His move D+1->N+2 is the best interrupter for King. It's much better now in T8 more than T7. Also, b+3 has a follow-up and ff+4 is a great setter for spacing or counter.

Tekken is one of those games, where a couple points of prowess difference already feels like night and day 😂 Also the editor is cooking with putting the Pokémon Colosseum/XD Gale of Darkness music in. So nostalgic to me!

if you mash both punches after hitting the back left kick (armor move), you get a free grab follow up for extra damage and side switch

If you want to know how to break certain throws, the replay feature shows you the break buttons when the throw happens. Replay feature is goated in T8

Btw you can tell what button you need to press when they grab by the way the hands come out so if right comes out first its 2 to tech it etc but if they both come out at the same time its 1+2.

I’ve never had any interest in Tekken games before but after watching Doto play this, I really wanna check this one out. BTW, there is currently a bug with throws (well, a couple of them). If you punish a move with a throw (as in throw them during any recovery frame except the very last one), then all chain grab follows up are completely unbreakable. From the footage I think a few of your SS into throws are landing as punishes, meaning the opponent actually can't break anything afterwards due to the bug.
