Thanks for showing those techniques - I've got tons of pattern paper & now I know better how to use them! I have a Gemini Jr & all my paper cracks even when I spritz with water. I'm constantly testing & adjusting my sandwich - that machine is powerful!

Great cards. The word Wow😳came out of my mouth when you revealed the Hello Friend background. I think that I have some of those papers. I need to pull them out and try this technique. Thank you for the inspiration.

Funny story... I have been trying to destash , and I was going through patterned paper which I have collected over the years but so seldom use. And then... I like to emboss envelopes. I have found if I cover both sides of the envelope with wax paper then put it through the machine it helps a lot with the problem of the paper tearing. It should work with the paper you are using.

Hi Amy! Wow, wow, wow! I have never tried these products. (Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Kiss or the Metallic Gilding Polish) They are so expensive. However, these cards are absolutely gorgeous!!! Blessed crafting! 😊

If you have a metallic acrylic paint (most acrylic paint ranges including the cheaper ones have at least gold and silver), you can do the same technique using a piece of sponge (a cut up bath sponge would do). You just need to use a small amount of paint and go quite quickly (because acrylic paint dries quite fast).

Another fun way to use it! Do you ever try spritzing both sides of the paper? That’s helped me sometimes, though not always. Nothing is ever always. Agree gilding polish is neat.

The ice crystal I think was my favorite 2. Brushing the pastes on the embossing was an interesting surprise for the finished product. I would have liked to have seen the succulent striped paper layered over a solid succulent color then put on the white base. The solid border would have brought out the gilded embossed flowers quite nicely.

I had been using heavier cardstock in my 3D folders and I was very unhappy with the way it looked. One day I use cheapo mixed-media paper from Walmart which was super thin and it was probably the best impression I've ever had! Thin paper for the win... sometimes 😉 TFS

I really need to get out my embossing folders. These are stunning. The ice crystal one turned out to be my favorite. What do you do with all your cards? I know you make almost as many as I do.

Thanks Karla! I don't think I make nearly as many as you lol. You are a rockstar. I send A LOT of them to friends and family, sell some every now and then, and during early covid my daughter and I donated hundreds of them. And yes, definitely, bust out those embossing folders. They really are so fun and make quick and beautiful cards!

I do cover them with press and seal plastic wrap. I try and do that with any of my pastes or gel thingies to keep them from drying out.

Great ideal. Love all the cards. Is your pattern paper card stock or more paper. Just wondering cause I’ll have to check my pattern paper. I think they tend to be more paper versus card stock. But you said the lighter weight paper did better with the embossing. I’ll have to get some out and try this technique. Great idea. I never know what to do with my pattern papers.

It really just depends. I have some that is thicker and feels like a cardstock but also have a ton that is very thin. Trial and error seems to be the key really. So glad you like it. Thanks for watching!

These are beautiful 💜 - how do you store your blending foams? Do you have to clean gilding polish off right away like pastes?

My handful of blending foams for these metallic polishes I just store in a little plastic bag. I don't rinse them out or the foam that comes with it either. It does definitely get hard but it seems to soften up when I start using it again. It mentions the option of rinsing out the foam that comes with it after every use but I haven't done that.
