This is a beautiful morning in Lake Munmorah. Later, we got a visit from Mr. Kerbside.This is truck 87 :)

UPDATE ON TRUCK 87 (TRUCK IN THIS VIDEO) - The super grabber was removed in 2017, and the truck was withdrawn from service after a decade of powerful operation from 2008 to 2018. #RipT87

UPDATE ON TRUCK 87 - The super grabber on the rear has been removed. Truck is still in service to this date.

So sad to see so much waste. Most of the items collected could have been recycled or donated to an organization to help the needy. Here in the US its expected metals will be scraped, all kinds of plastics, large and small as well as paper products recycled, and e-waste dissembled for proper recycling. And Wow that nice of furniture would either be resold by the owner or donated to an organization who would sell or give it away.

0:10, those radios could have been e-junked instead of thrown away, 6:25 the fan motor, 7:29 that CRT TV should have been refused because of the lead and recyclable materials inside.

You guys running those trucks really should wear eye protection that tv could have hit you in the eye and messed you up badly no joke flying glass.I was hit by a staple thrown by my lawn mower it went into top of my food and wedged in the joint had surgery to remove it so not just speaking here its from experience.If a small lawn mower with 5 horse power can throw a staple in my foot what can a super powerfull trash truck do??

How do you keep junk from wedging and breaking the truck? Is is designed so that something like a steel bar standing up on one side won't cause uneven load and damage the mechanism?

kdw75 It is an extremely strong piece of equipment. It packs a lot of large materials. Sometimes there can be packing problems when it packs inorganic objects. But most of the time, it does the job. These trucks are about 7 years old, and we will be getting new trucks in 3 years. But this truck is rarely damaged!

I guess maybe it is built heavy enough that it would stall the hydraulics before it would do any damage to the mechanism.
