There is nothing quite like the feeling of buying a new watch. Here we are, the day has come, a new watch is here. I wasn’t kidding, once I let my mind go down the path of a new watch, it’s too late. I allowed my crazy brain to justify another luxury watch purchase. The itch has been scratched. Finally, today I’m unboxing my latest pickup. Lets hope this satisfies the craving for a while… I’m pretty sure I said that the last time.

Congratulations on your Tank Louis!! This review helped me to go for it because I was worried of the size. My wrist size is about 7inch. I was waiting so long for a detailed review on KZfaq and yours is the first one and you did it very very good (incl. wrist shots etc., thanks!). It is nice to see that you are happy with this beauty and I hope you’ll wear it in good health!:)

The best purchasing experience is to buy a Cartier watch at Cartier historical headquarters Rue de la Paix in Paris. It's really a beautiful place close to Place Vendôme. This Place is known to be the headquarters of many jewelers among the greatest brand of the world. The Chanel N°5 perfume bottle was created to have the same shape (Place Vendôme) shape. If you have the chance to visit Paris during Christmas time this district is full of light decorations and many many others. It's absolutely magic !!!!!

I love the Americane as well, very reminiscent of the Tank Cintrée, which is one of the most beautiful tanks ever designed. Great choice!

I have a 6.5 inch wrist, and I actually love the small size. Ordered the Tank Louis in rose gold. It’s just a more elegant watch for my wrist size in my opinion. I think the large looks good on your wrist though I think the small would work too.

I actually agree. I think the small size gives the wearer a nice vintage feel. The problem today is the tank is perceived like every other round watch. It’s supposed to be small. It’s part of the magic. I love it.

The movement is not a JLC movement anymore. It’s a 1917Mc in house now. Do you know when they updated this ?

GS snowflake is a beautiful watch! Definitely dressy but with just the right amount of a sharp sports look. But yea if you’re considering a tank I say definitely go and try one on. I love my tank. Thanks for watching!

@@juniorjohnson5961 I love linen dials! I really wish modern Rolex would take a page out of their vintage side and bring more textures to their dials. But everything is cold and machine made. Those older dials have a warmth to them. Awesome watch. Have you thought about adding anything new? Sounds like you are content, if so I am envious 😆

I’d like to grab a solar as a gift. Did you have the choice in color of straps? I think they have a light blue that looks great.

I want to say I’ve seen a light blue and light green strap made of the same “vegan” leather. I didn’t ask when we bought the solar beat. Depending on the retailer, I know in the past this retailer has given me the option to swap straps for a previous purchase. It’s worth asking for sure. Maybe use that as a tactic before you say yes to buy they may throw in a second strap for free.
