After damage removal NDT inspection is required to insure disbond free condition, also scaling is required when mixing poting compound

Why no scale when mixing the 934? If you use a 50 grit disk and grind your hole you will get a much cleaner cutout vs chain drilling.

what was the problem actually? and can you make a video on cleaning of Honeycomb too ?
@grunt8242 жыл бұрын
What no primer? And why did you chain drill ? I would have use a hole saw.

Maybe a hole saw instead of chain drilling? Then you use the tip of a divider to pry the metal out? Come on, man! Then bare skin on those sharp edges? I'm only to 2:25! Why are you pulsing the drill like it's a semi-auto handgun?
@annakquinn70847 ай бұрын
Pulsing is not bad, is for controlling. Everything else is questionable.
@crooked-halo7 ай бұрын
@@annakquinn7084 I've been doing aircraft structures for 20 years. Maybe my drills have all been too high-quality? Usually Jiffy, Sioux & Dotco. The triggers on these pneumatic, quality drills is so feather-sensitive that you can run any speed you want. I don't see how pulsing helps with control at all.

The cherry rivets are clearly not locked in...grip length is too short. ...should be reinstalled correctly. And.....Seriously....you use a pair of dividers to remove the chain drilled area. Not good practice and not a good educational video...sorry..

Those rivets are not the right size I believe
@philipm70542 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing. They didn't make the clunk noise before breaking as the lock ring is pushed in. Plus the stem is below the top of the rivet , it should be level with the top

Is this training? I can't see an SRM allowing two repairs on an inlet that close. Is that guy in the background shooting with a 1x rivet gun? I would never want to do this job. Hat tip to this guy if it is an actual repair.
