They were talking about brakes being last on the fix a car up list, back when I was a kid and just started wrenching the lead mechanic put me on brakes and then more brakes. Then I graduated to doing brakes, I finally got fed up and asked when was I going to learn how to make the car go faster.... He looked at me and said "Well Bobbadoo you have to make a car stop before you can make it go" . That was a lesson I still take to heart today and am trying to ingrain to my grandson.

Us fellow West Virginia folks of the Appalachians need someone to come manage Twin Branch! We are having some great progress fighting back with the local Government. We had an issue with some Street Racing causing some issues but in the end helped the push to the track re opening. I would love to get together with some folks and find someone that would come in that has some experience and manage this track for us to help with our lack of places to safely do what we love. We have lost all of our drag strips and alot of our dirt tracks and we are hurting badly the main focus is the Hatfield and McCoy trails

I use generic no name DEF from my local farm store because it's cheap in my 21 Dodge. Local dealer threatened to void my warranty for not using Peak Blue because the farm stuff "was more water and not compatible". Their tune quickly changed when I pointed out it's a regulated substance with an MDS on the container and that MDS shows that they are full of shit.

I think the real future of vehicles and efficiency that most people don't consider is hybrids. I'm not talking for racing, but just commuter cars. A small diesel with a hybrid would be perfect. Like, my 2005 Golf diesel got 42 mpg. And why is it a problem? The EPA doesnt like it and oil companies don't profit as much from it.

I was always told the company that produces all the silicon wafers for computer chips in Taiwan has so many years of extremely secret innovations, from the world’s smartest engineers in microscopic manufacturing and calibrating that are so difficult to reproduce that it would take several decades for any other company to even come close to catching up.

Speaking of failed EPA programs. I watched a documentary about a guy that built a hybrid Buick Skylark in either the 70's or 80's as part of an EPA program and after he finished it the program was scrapped. Fast forward several years and he gets a visit from some Toyota engineers and they liked what they saw and bought the technology from him and now he's a lifelong Prius owner.

Why would the military be interested in a a company that makes race car parts and nothing the military could use they even stopped making side-by-side parts if motion was even remotely interested in it they would be moving a completely different direction and they don't have the manpower or machine power to do anything the military would need

Cooper..you SHOULD go bracket racing for a season or two. Just get in some sorta-fast reliable street car with no turbos and no "tuning" that' runs a fairly consistent number, and learn to drive. You're talking about trying to play head games with your opponent, and how you lose concentration between the burnout and staging.. Those things don't happen with the practice you get running brackets every week..repetition, routine, and muscle memory win races, and you don't get those things running a few rounds once or twice a month. You learn to run your own race and not be phased by shenanigans in the other lane.

I keep hearing this about Cash for Clunkers crushing barn find cars, it did not happen! The cars getting traded in had to be continuously insured for the previous 12 months and in driving condition. I heard relentlessly how I bought a $1,200 S10 could have saved them money on a new car the next month. The program ran for less than 2 months. I don't care for some of what was traded in not being here now but if it wasn't insured for a year and running it wasn't taken.
