Drilling a hole into carpet tip: use your soldering iron with an old tip to melt a divot in the screw location. Follow up by shaping the hot mess with a flattening tool or whatever form you’re after.

One more carpeting tip: tame the wild fibres with a heat gun. Quickly wave the heat over the carpet to smooth out the fibres to a uniform flattened appearance. Not too long in one area as you can most likely guess what can happen.

The amount of work you have done to the van is mind blowing! Engine repairs, alarm, removing door handles, repairing hole in the roof, making the cage for bass, door panels, ipad dash kit, etc etc etc! Someone will get a 75% done bass van with your signature on it! Kinda sad to see it go, it would have been one for the history books on the cars you have fondled over the years! I've been a subscriber of the ol soundman since Amplified was in the old shop and you guys were doing installs on peoples cars. It was right when you went from the original shop then moved to the last shop your dad's company was in. Just like back then I subscribed because you and your guys were funny as hell and had a great working relationship that showed on camera. Things have changed for sure, but I still watch because your humor is refreshing and your "advice" is solid. Unlike your prior business plan, that shit was liquid. Not solid at all... Anyway! Doesn't matter what cars or projects you have I watch because of you Doug and I'd say most of us do the same so do what you gotta do and I know Ill still be a loyal soundman fan!!!
