Ive been trying to do my build for 4yrs now. Im finally about 3weeks from finishing it. Being a parent money has to go other places before our hobbies. You will get it dont. Dont lose sight and keep the dream alive. You are a great person and car audio visionary. I know it will get done and be the best. I love the way the old school door panels are fastened to the door. Some screws and the metal cap at the top - not sh!tty plastic and other 🐂💩 that modern vehicles incorporate.

You should have installed a 12W7 ported or a 13W7 sealed on the mule, more output than that little 8W7. But an 82 to 87 El Camino would have been a much better project for both an engine swap and a killer sound system, you have the room behind the seats for two 15s.

Good vid, Doug. Looking forward to your revised Mule system. So many good mini amplifier and dsp options out there that could probably fit under the seat or the dash. Still going to need some room for bass, though. Hate to see that box go, if that's the decision. It was a lot of fun to watch you build it, and it obviously won't find another home. Also, I hope you're not serious about dropping the bass van. You've put in a lot of investment and killed a lot of trees to get to where you are on that project.

Words of wisdom about owning project cars. I have definitely been where you’re at. The sad part is you’ll sell your project and then a year or two down the road, you’ll start to miss them and wish you still had them lol I love all your project cars. I’ve been watching you work on them all the way back at the original shop with the mule. I’m curious which one you’re going to keep

I’m working on a 1995 mk3 golf GTI VR6, a 1969 BMW 2002 and last my 2008 Mini Cooper S. All full restorations while driving and restoring my daily 2003 Mini Cooper S . So I guess you could work on 4 cars at once just little bit at a time

Get an extended cab OBS and build a fiberglass box with 12 15s in it. Wouldn’t be a full bass van build and it would bump. Local shop had one set up like that. Had 12 JL 15W0 or 1s on a wildly under powered punch amp. Still hit 150s which was high for the day.

just scale-down the bass-wars build to the Mule - it has plenty of enclosure space, enabling you get equally high DB's due to it's smaller listening area..
