I love Astons, but Lordy, that is a crazy amount of weirdness and silly compromises and unnecessary stupidity (NO GLOVEBOX in all that HUGE dash expance? WTF?) and quirks! Design is beautiful except for its "face" - headlights are too small, gawping mouth grille is TOO BIG

Ah, yes another episode of

Aston is needlessly quirky. Their transmission tunnels are huge and they impede on horizontal leg room. Their vertically mounted seat controls are easy to inadvertently activate. But for me, the absolute deal killer is that the windows have to roll down slightly when opening or closing the doors (this takes place automatically). Up here in the northeast (and in other cold wintery climates) car windows routinely freeze. And so your window freezes, the window worm gear then breaks when it tries to automatically crack the window, the window then can’t roll down, and then the window shatters on the door frame. Sorry, but that’s just overall poor engineering. The last car company I can think of that made needlessly quirky cars was Saab. And financially, Aston is headed down Saab’s same path.
