As he said, you can't have pretty much the whole of mankind moving in to one relatively small area of the world. Might I suggest that one major way to prevent people from having to flee their war torn countries is to wake up and stop these endless wars which are almost always manufactured to make a very small number of people extremely rich.

The easiest solution to this problem is, Deny anybody fleeing war the right to seek refuge in any country not closest to the country they are fleeing. Deny anybody the right to flee economic deprivation. Invest in economic development in deprived nations to combat poverty. Use Peace Keeping forces to occupy any country at war with an aggressive mission statement that allows them to engage with any attackers on the Peace Keeping forces.

After having been an immigration officer for over a decade and seen every kind of person making their way into the USA, legal or otherwise, the questions I have are ones that are never asked. When people are FLEEING from a nation for a century, what does that say about its failed political policies? What does it say about the people who voted for the politicians with bad political policies? You see these conditions don't spring up over night. It takes a low intelligence, gullible population continually grasping at political lies to create those conditions. That said, why would any country willingly immigrate such people? So they can be low intelligence, gullible voters and destroy the new nation? If their culture, economic, political and legal systems work,..why are they fleeing? You see, it's actually an astounding lack of responsibility they're attempting to escape from. Problem is, one doesn't escape oneself. Wherever you go,..there you are, creating all the same conditions you hated in the last country. This is a truth most people don't want to accept. Another truth is that diversity ISN'T actually a strength. Diversity in creativity and innovation ARE. Which has nothing to do with a gene pool and everything to do with a Culture that allows for individual prosperity predicated on secured freedoms. Let's face it, if people were interested in creating prosperity where they live, they would. It isn't like continental Africa and Central America aren't resource rich places capable of such achievement. The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights have been writ large for 300 years completely transparent to anyone willing to copy them. But they don't. Why? Those people vote for politicians who strip away their potential so they can consolidate wealth and power. It's really that simple.

The issue runs deeper than discussed. We feel like foreigners in our homeland due to powerful countries making deals with criminal groups, resulting in widespread corruption and human rights abuses. Moreover, when we migrate to other countries, new challenges emerge, highlighting that human rights, in many instances, exist merely on paper.

I think people would take Murray more seriously if they felt he was genuinely concerned for people. The UK is one of the main donors of foreign aid to Syria , and also the main supplier of weapons that were used to destroy the country. Why not face these points? All this may sound benign and reasonable until you place it in the context of Murray's other views. Processed with the dog whistle translator, what his real goals are (1) make sure that as few people come to Europe as absolutely unavoidable (2) create useful narratives for conscience laundering, namely the possibility of claiming that the inhumanity of denying entry to migrants is made up for by helping people in their countries of origin, which then can be essentially reduced to some cheap and meaningless pretenses and opaque arrangements of corporate welfare and aid to dictators. He is at best a paranoid cultural and racial purist and at worst a racist in disguise. AN intellectual he is not.
