What's stopping those countries not signed up to the 1951 UN refugee convention from depositing an instrument of accession with the Secretary-General of the UN? Could it be that by signing up to said convention that those countries in would lose the right to refuse refugees and their ability to turn a blind eye on the situation an simply passing on the buck to the West while simultaneously sitting on some moral high ground judging the West handling of the crisis it's been forced on them?

The debate host constantly expressed her biases and pushed her own agenda. Also, what debate has a voting system and is centered around social media and opinions on there?
